Former miner, today #Donetsk pensioner arrived to military service, responding to the call for mobilization:
“No one likes escalation, that’s for sure. But it doesn't scare. We survived 2014 and 2015. We will survive this one. We didn’t go anywhere, were here all the time.”
Gennady, a shoemaker at the mobilization center in Kievsky district #Donetsk:
“Homeland must be defended from the evil. They came here, not us to them. They don’t want to normalize anything… War & drugs is the most profitable business”
Interesting fact, during his military service in the early 90s, Gennady Vasilyevich was the head of a workshop for the repair of belongings and shoes. And in 2015, he took part in the liberation of #Debaltseve as part of the Machete battalion.

Amazing people live in #Donbass. Despite war, evacuation, mobilization, the chief blacksmith of #Donetsk Viktor Burduk is trying to save the unique Forged Figures Park.
Victor believes that the problem of a deteriorating park could be solved by giving it the status of a museum.
“The status of a museum would make it possible to preserve this park for the future. After all, this is the real pride of our city. Time passes, and I want to leave a memory of #Donetsk behind me,” says Viktor.
Last year, the Forged Figures Park celebrated its 20th anniversary.
