Of all the crazy, fear inspired public policy hurled on society willy nilly as pandemic mitigation, the thing that still befuddles me to my very core, is how we have seen a swift, nearly total conversion of medical science, to something I have come to call, Medical Scientism,…

…or simply, Scientism. This new belief system has started to become a sort of pseudo religion, bordering on cultism.

I have observed that there are numerous distinct denominations, each with their own idolatry, dogma, and deities, such as Fauciism, and the pre-existing Cristian Scientism.
Obviously there are also many commonalities between them as well.

There is a blind belief in the piety and absolutism of it's deities, who are infallible, and institutions, which are sacrosanct.

This communal association becomes so intertwined with the superego of the member, that it often brings with it a willingness to attack anyone they disagree with. They concoct a myopic view that won't allow independent thought.

They've learned how to "well design" research studies to fail, just to thwart acceptance of natural, actual miracles, as they have no part in Scientism.

They take delight in ridiculing actual, traditional scientific inquiry and method, when it even slightly differs from their narrative du jour. They cherry pick sacred data to fit their blessed narrative, while accusing others of doing the same.

With respect to infectious disease, big pharma and universities are seen as saints and pipelines for the only acceptable treatments, which all come from fresh patents. Because NIH funding has replaced the collection plate in this new belief system.

If the saints can't prophet from their blessings from the Gods of Science, in the form of novel, patentable drug therapies, then it's not approved for preaching it as a gospel therapy.

All infidels trumpeting the values of "alternative off-patent treatments" shall be branded with scarlet letters "RWNJ", shunned and socially ostracized and social credit scores docked.

Don't even try to question "the Science" by engaging in dialogue, or debate because there is none. The Scientismic Gods have spoken. It's all been determined and settled by consensus.

Any doctor not in accordance with this consensus, or the word of "Science" (aka Saint Doctor Fauci) need not be a doctor anymore. Pick up your pink slip at security. You've just been cancelled.
