Interesting that KGW is issuing press reports for the largely invisible, moderate Republicans of Oregon (only one of whom is named). I have seen zero evidence to substantiate the highlighted claims.

From what I know of those 17 gubernatorial candidates, a good number more closely resemble this guy than anyone who stands a chance of winning votes from Democrats.

This is the big annual conference for Oregon Republicans. One of the people generally thought of as “moderate” by other Republicans is speaking at it. This is the picture they chose to promote it.

This picture was taken four years ago when Roger Stone was the keynote speaker at the Dorchester Conference.

The chances that a “moderate” wins the GOP primary seem quite slim based on those voters recent track record. But good luck with that, I guess.

This appears to be the main event at this year's Dorchester. FWIW, the moderator of this session is likely the person who former GOP chair Dallas Heard said was using "Communist psychological warfare tactics" on him. Pretty hard to parse the meaning of those words, eh?

Here's a thread about Heard's bizarre resignation statement.

Some excerpts from the current OR GOP platform. I would say that some changes would need to be made before most Oregonians would see this as “moderate.”
