Media is the problem 🧵

We have a PM who:
- was sacked from his last 2 jobs
- lost preselection resoundingly, but ended up with it by threatening to ruin someone’s life
- has his own side describing him as the most horrible person
- does literally nothing but cosplay
- has a …

- has a list of rorts and scandals that would take it’s own thread to describe, including but not limited to:

Watergate
Sports rorts
JobKeeper
Missing subs
Car parks
Reef
Robodebt
Gerry’s RATs
Tudge
Porter
Barnaby
Prayer room

.. and so on

Any one of these could sink a gov ..

But on top of this, Morrison:
- would not meet with women at #March4Justice, but said they should consider themselves lucky they weren’t being shot
- supported alleged rapists and those accused of sexual abuse
- backgrounded against victims of alleged rape

.. and ..

And Morrison also:
- wants to put every recipient of government funds (except themselves) on the Indue card - itself another rort

$10K per year, per card to administer and you guessed it, operated by those with links to the LNP

.. and purchases restricted to LNP donor outlets

On top of that:
- he doesn’t really believe in climate change and is a major shill for fossil fuels
- believes the Universe is 6000 years old
- believes that Dog favours the worthy with wealth and that the poor deserve it

.. and ..

And Morrison doesn’t care that aged care is a shambles

Massive LNP donors make squillions from feeding them on $6 per day & reducing staffing to levels that result in care that is at the “abuse” end of the scale

.. but he has his mum and mother-in-law at Kirribilli on our coin

And when disaster strikes, he’s not Scomo, he’s #ScomoGo - somewhere else or into hiding

At every turn he tried to prevent action to minimise the impacts of covid

And he didn’t order vaccines 😳

.. and ..

And if that wasn’t enough, he:
- pretends to be a diehard Sharkies supporter despite being an Eastern suburbs rugby lad
- literally shat himself at Engadine Maccas after drinking too much at the footy
- got hammered and pissed himself at the Rugby - we are all the Fijian PM

And he:
- has his family live in Kirribilli even though The Lodge is the PM’s residence 🤔
- is good mates with a senior QAnon figure
- pays a QAnon nutter $85K to keep his wife company (paid by us)
- has a wife who flashed the white supremacy sign

.. and ..

And Morrison has no policies

He only has announcements that don’t amount to anything

Bushfire relief a classic example - also a lesson about him - they scorned him, so they get zero

.. unless it’s a rort to be given to donors and mates - then he comes through

.. and .

And despite being a “Christian”, Morrison enjoyed torturing legitimate asylum seekers for 9 years

.. and still has a lovely family incarcerated, their daughters born in Australia, and beloved in their adopted home town Biloela

Because he thinks it makes him look strong

And yet our media, comprised mostly of:
- outlets owned by RW billionaires
- journalists kissing the butt of those billionaires
- journalists who’ve forgotten the job and now want to be “influencers”
- a cowering ABC

.. ignores almost all of that and instead ..

Our media takes the notes from the PMO and runs them on repeat

- He’s the daggy dad
- He makes chook sheds & cubby houses
- He’s the mad Sharky

And barely mentions, or brushes off this litany of flaws, misdeeds and horrors

.. and ..

At the same time, our media:

- gives almost zero air time to the opposition, then claims nobody knows what they stand for, instead of asking and passing on their platform - their literal job
- takes any opportunity to denigrate the opposition and magnifies it, dragging it out

Unless we can save our ABC, legislate its independence, knowingly reinvigorating it with the express purpose of providing non-partisan news, but also charging it with the role of keeping governments and corporations honest, exposing corruption and misdeeds

.. we are cooked

Oh, and we also need to get rid of Murdoch

Funny that today we are witnessing a perfect demonstration of all I’ve said

Media ignoring all of the ghoulish details of Morrison - the man and the politician

.. and looking for/seizing on any opportunity, no matter how small, to denigrate Albanese
