Coming back from easily spending sats at the @TheBitcoinConf, I'm more motivated than ever to build out a circular economy. I've been digging into and thinking a lot about the available tools and here's my thoughts on the current circular economy stack. 🧵1/9

The top of the funnel is clearly @OshiApp. It's a great low-friction promotional tool for a local merchant to pre-sell items and dip their toe into earning bitcoin. It's also a useful way to gauge customer interest for spending bitcoin before implementing a point-of-sale. 2/9

The next step is a lightweight point-of-sale solution. @Breez_Tech is the best choice I've seen out there. Requires nothing more than a cell phone and is instantly operable as a non-custodial point-of-sale with lightning. 3/9

You can easily add items in the app, create a manager password, print a receipt (which even includes the preimage), and send funds out to an on-chain address if needed. 4/9

A more robust (custodial) point-of-sale solution that provides some merchant optionality to shift funds to fiat is @IBEXpay. This was what was used at the conference venue and I was surprised at how easily the merchants were able to use it and I never encountered any issues. 5/9

The registration process for @IBEXpay is quite simple to get up and running and KYB is only needed if a merchant wants to convert to fiat. Very simple interface and transactions reporting is available. 6/9

Finally, the ultimate self-sovereign goal is for a merchant to use @BtcpayServer. Much has been said about the technical proficiency required so a good in-between option is to setup @BtcpayServer with @voltage_cloud. You can honestly setup a shop in just a few minutes. 7/9

You can point to a lightning node through @voltage_cloud run your own node, or become a local Uncle Jim for a merchant. @voltage_cloud also has a product (Flow) if you need inbound liquidity. 8/9

Or you can skip lightning entirely and transact on-chain depending on the business. This stuff is only getting easier with more optionality than ever before. lfg 🚀. 9/9
