I think it is an interesting study to explore the correlation between Kageyama's hair and the comfort level of his emotional state in the context of volleyball

#haikyuu #kageyamatobio

Let's start with his bowl cut hair, which appears at the start. He's learning about the world, and he experiences the joy of learning more volleyball and taking on challenges. He has a support system in his grandfather Kazuyo. A carefree child.

His hair is shown to be slightly longer than his usual short, bowl cut the first time in this panel. His middle fringe starts appearing prominently from the point on when he has lost his grandfather. The loss of his support system and the onset of a lonely journey.

He has his signature middle fringe at Karasuno during his first year, but he works through his trauma after having a genuine partner in Hinata and a support system at Karasuno. Middle fringe represents that there's a lot in his mind.

By the time he's in his third year, he has found his footing again and is at peace, going back to his signature happy childhood bowl cut. He's carefree again.

During the years when he's playing at Adlers, waiting for the fulfilment of a promise before proceeding to the next stage of his volleyball game, we see the middle part. His hair is slightly longer to show the slight limbo but it's not because something is weighing his mind.

And now, he is happy, he is carefree, he is successful, he is on top of his game. Win or lose, he will challenge and be challenged everyday and most importantly. He loves and plays volleyball a little bit more everyday.

Hmmm? What's that? NO WAY! This is not me grasping at a bunch of straws just to spam your tl with handsome sexy Kageyama Tobio!!! NOT AT ALL

AHahahhahaha....
