what are the implications for property owners?

here are a few of my predictions:

if your site's considered at risk due to flood, bushfire, other climate conditions, your land will be worth considerably less and be unusable for any meaningful purpose including farming and construction

permits and loans for improvements or new constructions won't be granted

ghost towns will be created and whole regions will be evacuated

people will walk away from their near worthless properties, receiving no compensation

there will be a vast shift in population to surveillance smart cities where people will RENT at high rates due to shortages caused by internal migration

this has already happened to a friend of mine who is no longer allowed to build a permanent structure on his seaside property in my state of victoria, due to 'rising sea levels'

his retirement plans are shattered and his land is worthless
