In 2020, the MD, Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO), 2/5
addressed TN government to sanction funds to continue with the scheme.
The previous ADMK government issued a GO in No. 113, ADW Department dated 24.11.2020 dropped the financial assistance citing the stoppage for funds for the scheme. 3/5
On 29.03.2022, TN Government’s Commissioner for Adi Dravidar Welfare addressed all District ADW officers not to receive any applications for the Rs.50,000/- grant for newly enrolled Dalit advocates. 4/5
Neither the previous ADMK government, nor any of the Dalit parties raised their voice about the stoppage of grants / welfare schemes to dalits to the tune of Rs.120 crores.
