There has been an outpour of grief and anger from parents of the schoolchildren involved in the mass shooting at #RobbElementaryschool in #Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday.

Frustrated onlookers urged police officers to charge into the elementary school as investigators worked to track the massacre that lasted upwards of 40 minutes and ended when a Border Patrol team killed the 18-year-old shooter.

Javier Cazares, whose fourth-grade daughter, Jacklyn Cazares, was killed in the attack, said he raced to the school when he heard about the shooting, arriving while police massed outside the building.

Upset that police were not moving in, he raised the idea of charging into the school with several other bystanders.

Another father whose 10-year-old daughter was killed said he learned about her death when he arrived on the scene of the crime and encountered one of her friends.

Angel Garza, a med aide, who assisted first responders at the school as soon as he arrived, said he saw one little girl who was "just covered in blood" from "head to toe" and went to ask her if she was okay.

He told @CNN that his daughter, Amerie Jo Garza, a fourth-grade honor roll student, attempted to call the police.

He said he wanted people to know that his daughter died trying to save her classmates.

Texas State Sen. Roland Gutierrez visited the reunification center in Uvalde.

He recounted the harrowing experience of hearing the "uncontrollable crying" of the parents of shooting victims waiting for news on their children.

Gutierrez also expressed his frustration at his GOP colleagues.
