DIESEL ENGINE MAINTANCE.
A diesel engine is more complex than a petrol engine,invented in 1893 by Rudof Diesel its not like a typical petrol engine that you can just hop into when the mood strikes,the diesel engine requires a great deal of maintenance eg;the V8 diesel engine 2008

Diesel engines are internal combustion engines which means they work by burning fuel inside of them,diesel engines use high compression to ignite the mixture in their cylinders.Most of these are 4 stroke cycle engines,meaning for strokes are needed to complete a cycle

Diesel engines typically have more torque than petrol engines,which means that they have more power at low speeds because the diesel fuel contains alot more energy that doesn't get used up until it is needed by the vehicle or equipment that's operating under its power.

AM NO ENGINEER😜 BUT HERE ARE A FEW BASIC TIPS ON HOW TO BEST MAINTAIN YOUR DIESEL ENGINE;
1)Change your oil every three months or so,if this is not done the engine usually suffers from wear and tear and most definitely we do not want that.
2)Get regular fluids levels checked..

this includes checking the coolant level in their radiator along with making sure that there's enough power steering fluid in the system and enough brake fluid

3)Check the oil filter,make sure it is clean and free from debris at all times to avoid things from getting clogged

4)Get a diagnostic test,this allows the technician to see if there are any clogs in your filters and other issues that may be hidden,Having your technician/mechanic check all of these components out at once will ensure that you don't have to keep paying for things that could...

have been addressed in the previous visit.
5)Use the right fuel,do not use dirty fuel on your diesel engine,dirty diesel fuel may include water,micro organisms,debris,hard particles,wax etc making it build up slime,sludge & grime,which can cause alot of damage

6)Flush out old fuel,this is done so as to make sure no bad gas is left in your tank,when getting a foreign used car chances are the dealer already flushed the fuel for you before handing it over but its always good to check.

7)Add fuel stabilizers to your diesel fuel if you plan to put the car in storage for quiet sometime,this will keep your fuel fresh and you wont have a problem starting your car when you decide to use it.Always consult your mechanic for the best stabilizer,these are just examples

8)Last but most definitely not the least,warm up your diesel engine before driving the car,this will allow oil to flow around the engine,when the oil is cold it is too thick to lubricate correctly,you'll make the oil work harder than necessary which could lead to problems,mostly

In the cold areas.
Inconclusion take care of your diesel engine and it will serve you for aslong as possible. #spaceyamagari
