His debut solo album was #Pal with Lesle Lewis as the composer.

Though Chhod Aye Hum was his first Hindi film song, his first break as a playback singer was by AR Rahman for Tamil film Kadhal Desam (Duniya Dilwalon Ki) with two songs Kalluri Saaley and Hello Dr.
KK and Rahman subsequently collaborated for Minsara Kanavu & Saathiya.
Apart from songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati, KK had also sung a song titled "Tanha Chala" for the Pakistani TV show The Ghost which was aired on Hum TV in 2008.
