1. amber heard wasn’t a party in this case, she was only a witness

2. it was a defamation trial against NGN (the sun) and dan wootton, the sun's executive editor. johnny sued them after they called him a wife beater in an article in 2018

3. to defend themselves NGN & wootton presented 14 separate incidents on which they alleged that johnny had been violent towards amber

4. in a libel claim, the defendants are required to prove that what they alleged is more probable than not which does not mean it actually happened

5. many people say that johnny is a powerful white man and that if a judge ruled against such a powerful man there must be tremendous evidence?? do y’all not know who owns the sun? rupert murdoch is one of the most powerful and influential men so johnny is nothing next to that

6. "he was proven guilty on 12/14 cases of abuse" no he wasn’t, he cannot be found guilty in a libel trial. 12 incidents were accepted by the judge, that’s totally different

7. if y’all had actually followed the case and read the 129 pages of judgement, you would have noticed how incredibly biased it was. let me show a few instances where you can see the unfairness/bullshit

8. first, since amber wasn’t a party and was a witness, her testimony was taken as gospel, the judge accepted her definition of "the monster" demonizing johnny's addiction, saying it turned him into a violent guy which is a v harmful stereotype to people suffering from addiction

9. the judge dismissed a lot of johnny’s witnesses saying they were biased for being his employees or being friends with him but did not do the same with amber’s friends for example

10. he accepted amber's allegations even tough there was a huge lack of proof, basically saying that there’s not enough proof but the whole story kinda makes sense so why not

11. another insane thing is that he accepted amber’s words instead of actual written notes of her nurse

12. suddenly doesn’t see injuries when they’re on johnny???

13. he accepted evidence from amber’s own diary and emails that she sent to herself…

14. for incident 14, the judge accepted amber’s allegations even tough there are literally 8 witnesses giving testimonies contradicting her claims

15. amber’s medical consultations proved that she didn’t suffer the injuries she claimed having, yet the judge still sided with her

16. he said that amber didn’t throw a red bull fan at johnny "because she doesn’t drink red bull" and she didn’t throw something from her purse "because she was in her pajamas"

17. johnny's side challenged amber’s credibility, by showing the judge that amber is not scared of lying to authorities or committing perjury, he dismissed the following evidence:

18. amber lied to the department of homeland security regarding the status of savannah mcmillan, who worked for her in the US as an assistant

19. amber smuggled their two dogs in australia, aware that she was violating australian laws, she went to lie to the authorities and try to get other people to lie for her

21. he then went to say that amber’s admissions of being physically violent "have no great weight" and rather believe what she says under oath than in recordings because she’s supposed to tell the truth

23. let’s remember too that one of the 14 incidents that amber gave them was like i do not remember ANYTHING from this incident but this text from johnny apologizing for something around that time is a bit sus so imma say he abused me there

24. he also said she wasn’t a gold digger because she donated the $7M settlement to charity which we now know she lied about that too

25. amber heard committing perjury on 3 continents so far, maybe she wanna break a world record or something

also if you reply to my tweet addressing the misogyny in this case by "ok but what about men? 😢😢" you’re part of the problem. me addressing the issue with misogyny in this case doesn’t negate the issue with men survivors not being taken seriously or/and being mocked, it’s just-
