Normandie and Florence: Provocateurs in Action aka (Blood) Red, White and (Dark) Blue: Was the Reginald Denny beating during the LA Riots planned to stoke racial flames? A thread of lingering doubts and paranoia.
Before I go off please note: I have edited video to remove as much violence as possible while still being coherent. I have also censored some racist slurs. We all know what they are so I don’t think it’s worth putting them on your timeline.
So what I want to do here is share some information that is new to me and ends some misconceptions about the riots, specifically this one instance: the beating of 2 truckers. Yes, TWO truckers by members of the 8th Street Crips…except they weren’t crips.
During the riots, scores appeared to be settled. Tranh Lam, business owner, had two of his shops burned down. At the same time his 2nd shop was burning, he was struck in traffic and that car pulled alongside and opened fire. “Some organized efforts.” Gangs didn’t plan violence.
Provocateurs. Vernon Broussard, a National guardsman, and a friend were pulled over and found with Molotov cocktail supplies and loaded weapons. Broussard’s attorney said he put in 16 hour shifts during the riots. The Natl Guard said he was never on duty. Mistrial.
A former police dog trainer was sent by the LAPD to Koreshtown to discharge flares at Korean owned shops. They timed it to make passing black motorists appear responsible. Fomenting racial unrest and provocation has been used for decades. Once against Marxists, now gang members.
Enter Normandie and Florence. Contrary to what is remembered, the surrounding area was one of south central’s better off neighborhoods. It was a middle class majority black neighborhood. Denny’s attackers weren’t gang members or militants.
A member of the gang unit at the county probation department said “they didn’t care about Rodney king. Guys like king had been beaten up for decades.” At the same time, mayor Tom Bradley: “we will not tolerate the beating of our citizens by a few renegade cops.”
Bob Tur and his wife flew helicopters around LA recording footage for TV stations. He pitched his idea for years but no one bit. Not until he pitched his idea to Bell Helicopter Textron and “somehow wrangled himself a chopper.”
*CIA* aviation company Bell Textron. Makers of the Huey. Vietnam. The beginnings of modern day psyops. Bell Textron gave Tur a helicopter to film crimes around LA for national broadcast.
Tur knew there was potential for violence. In the weeks before he talked to cops, gang members and residents. He asked Eight Tray Gangster Crips what to expect. Anger. As previously mentioned a gang unit officer stated gang members didn’t care about King.
But Tur was apparently out in that very same neighborhood weeks before the acquittals and because of that claimed he expected violence. “Let the beatings begin.” Tur took a lawyer along with him and they flew out to ground zero of the riots, defying an assignment desk editor.
Tur flew around N+F for about 45 minutes receiving pot-shots that caused $154k worth of damage. No cops around. Then, Larry Tarvin, a white trucker for a black-owned business was pulled from his truck and beaten.
Tarvin regained consciousness and made it back to his truck. Notice there is immediately 2 people together taking pictures of him just feet away.
Almost immediately after, Reginald Denny, another trucker was pulled from car and beaten. 90-100 skull fractures. As he lay unconscious another cameraman approaches and films. A man with a shotgun tries to shoot the gas tank from 10 ft away or so and…misses?
“Did you get it?” “I got all that.”
From my Waco thread. “Are we rolling?” “We’re rolling.” “Don’t turn the camera off.”
Four men were charged with attempted murder, the “LA 4.” “It was not carried out by gang members or violent criminals.” The only assailant who came close to fitting the “thug” stereotype was Kiki Watson who served time for holding up an armored car. He was not considered violent.
Watson was a former marine. “I was trained to kill. That’s what marines do. Kill kill kill.”
All 4 men had criminal records but despite their crimes either served little jail time or none at all. Williams’ attorneys in particular had CIA/FBI connections.
Attempted murder charges were dropped and instead they were charged with simple mayhem. The strictest sentence coming out to be 4 years. The justice system is racist. This was the tough on crime 90’s. NO WAY do I see this making sense.
After Tur filmed the Denny beating, he went on to film the OJ Simpson chase. After prosecution of the LA4, Tur was given the brick which crushed Denny’s skull (WHAT?!).
How was it disseminated by the media? Well, wrapped up with nice two-sided argument. “This is where it all started.” The male anchor ends this segment with the idiotic and racist “where you one of the men that did the beating?” To the man that saved Denny.
The beating of Reginald Denny was a rallying cry for racist white power pukes. From horrible cartoons to horrible white power music. It played in perfectly with the militia/nationalist movement. From Ruby Ridge to Waco to OKC.
One small side note. Reginald Denny was also the name of a British actor that helped develop the first DRONES used in warfare. Hollywood and the military, baby, BFF’s.
Ok, so I guess that’s about it. Do I think Denny was targeted specifically? No. Does it seem like provocateurs were used and laying in wait to make something happen for the cameras? I mean, yeah. The narrative that endures is one that I don’t think is necessarily truthful.
A lot of provocateurs were caught on video during the Floyd protests. That footage was used against the left (as always). Who benefits? Obviously a lot has been left out but, y’know, “food for thought and grounds for further research.” Sources 👇🏻 plus articles and live footage.
Shit! I wanted to add that the police were nowhere in sight! Their “command center” was an empty building. Was this “revenge” against the mayor? “Look how much you need us!” Cops have a habit of doing shit like this. After all “police inaction is another form of provocation.”
“Koreshtown” Jesus. My phone autocorrected Koreatown to Koreshtown!!
