As @DrRupani said,”single most important factor that matters is the doctor, not hospital”,
I’ll share my experience so it may help someone in a medical situation.

Nisheeth was admitted in Bombay Hospital Indore on 19th,12.30 pm
my daughter & myself reached next day 6.30 pm.

Since I was 19 hrs away, the constant struggle to learn about his condition bore no fruit.. my younger brother’s request to the cardiologist incharge, Dr.Idris Ahmed Khan to speak to me fell on deaf ears! I called other doctor friends to speak to him & find out but to no avail

On 20th morning during the investigations, when my brother was asked to deposit the said amount for angioplasty, on questioning how they could go ahead without his consent, he was shown the papers signed by my office boy (relation to the patient filled as nephew)! 3/n

My 24 yr old office boy was made to sign 2 papers while receiving Nisheeth’s rings during his angiography
On learning all this
I frantically called some very senior doctors in other hospitals to find out what was Nisheeth’s condition
wether angioplasty could wait till I reached

My brother requested that they wait till I reach, Dr.Idris Khan resorted, “Kya karna hai patient ka, jaldi decision lo, mein shaam ko nahi karoonga”!
Was it because the catheter inserted for angiogram would serve the procedure of angioplasty?

Meanwhile, I was taking opinions of other cardiologists on the basis of the angiogram report that my brother somehow managed to take from them
My nightmare continued, when I reached hospital, 6.30 pm on 20th, though it was visiting time Dr.Khan on round, refused to let me in

. @sharan_shivani & my encounter with Dr.Khan:
Me:Good evening sir, I’m Nisheeth’s wife
Khan: So?
Me: What’s his condition?
Khan: Come tomorrow, will show you reports
Me: Can you pls explain at least, in simple language, I’ve travelled 18 hr to know
Khan: Kal subah
7/n

Me: Can I see him?
Khan: NO!
Me: When can I, why can’t I?
Khan: Guard sahab batayenge! (one who told me idris sahab ka kanoon chalta hai yahan)

My heart knew it.. not this man.., can’t let him treat my husband!

This is that guard, misbehaving with @sharan_shivani

I signed the LAMA next morning 6am & got him out of there by 11am, had lined up with Dr.Shailendra Trivedi ji at Vishesh Jupiter Hospital.. within 10 minutes of reaching, Dr Trivedi was there checking reports & comforting us. By 3pm, Nisheeth’s angioplasty was done.

Don’t they pledge, “I will maintain the utmost respect for human life..”?
Don’t they know about the patient’s rights?

Have 2 questions in mind:
1- Was it Khan’s attitude & ego that hit us?
2- Is the sinister plan of Ms at work?

Whatever it was, it passed,
because I could deal with it with complete Surrender & Faith in #Mahadeva who guided me through the decision of a second opinion & shifting him to the care of a compassionate doctor,
some,due to fear of loosing,
fail to save lives of their loved ones.

There are Idris Khan types who lack empathy & ethics
& there are the likes of Dr.Shailendra Trivedi, who answered all my queries from 7pm on 20th till 9m, without any consultation charges knowing well that my patient was in another hospital.

Dr.Trivedi’s assistant Sachin, helped, answered all my calls throughout that dreadful night.

My intention here is only to make people aware of what they may face at such times & how with Faith, clarity & a strong will one can save the lives of their loved ones. 🙏🏻
