A #grooming gang mega thread🧵

With the release of the #Telford CSE inquiry, I thought it would be a good opportunity to dive into the report and show how the political class, media & our public institutions have let our girls down & protected abusers for decades.

The method of grooming followed a similar pattern.

- Approaching vulnerable girls often by virtue of the man’s job as a taxi driver or food delivery driver
- Give them lifts or buy them gifts
- Make her effectively dependent
- Become violent and controlling

One of the revelations from the report shows how Muslim men would take children out to a remote location at night and threaten to abandon them if they did not engage in sexual behaviour; or would simply rape them.

Nightclubs, restaurants and takeaways were venues in which children would be taken into rooms within the premises in order to be exploited by multiple men.

Shockingly, there was a 'rape house' in Wellington which had been operating for years.

During Operation Chalice, disclosures were made that there were minibuses full of children being trafficked out of Telford for the purposes of child gang rape.

Witnesses have said the 1,000 abused children figure being touted is 'conservative' or 'tame'.

When the girls attempted to end the abuse, the men would remind them of what happened to Lucy Lowe, a grooming gang victim who was burned alive by her abuser, along with her family in a deliberate house fire

Lucy had a child with her abuser when she was only 14.

The abuse had been going on for decades.

One individual recalled being touched inappropriately by multiple men in a corner shop in the 1970s.

Another said she was regularly raped & forced to have sex with the abuser’s relatives in the 1980s.

The rate of the child sex exploitation was the highest in the country with 256 being reported in one year.

15.1 child sex crimes per 10,000 residents.

The report confirms that the majority of the CSE suspects in Telford were ‘of southern Asian heritage’.

However, these men were protected by the police, the council, teachers and agencies because of fears of racism

And remember, this is just one town. Here's a thread showing there are 35 other towns and cities where grooming gangs have been operating.

The scale of this atrocity on our lands is huge.

There are hundreds of thousands of victims of grooming gangs in our country. Former Labour MP Sarah Champion estimated that up to 1 million youngsters could have been victims. Here is one of their stories;

When the much anticipated Home Office report into grooming gangs was released, media outlets like the @guardian ran these sorts of headlines saying White men were the majority and Asian grooming gangs was a myth

@guardian Yet when we look into the report, every study showed that White people (88% of the population) are hugely underrepresented and Asians (7% of the population) and Black people (3% of the population) are hugely overrepresented.

@guardian Even if we look at study b, which claims Whites are the largest category, when we look into the report we see:

35% were White with only 11% being British

28% were of Asian & Middle Eastern descent (4x over base representation)

16% were Black (5.3x overrepresentation)

@guardian Why would the @guardian write headlines which demonise White men despite the evidence showing they are hugely underrepresented? Furthermore, call Asian grooming gangs a myth, when the report shows they are massively overrepresented?

It shows how the media lie to us.

@guardian And these are just the abusers who have been arrested. This clip from BBC’s Panorama shows a @ukhomeoffice researcher was told to never refer to grooming gang perpetrators as Asian men and was sent on a diversity course

Her data was stolen & she was told to change her findings

@guardian @ukhomeoffice From the same documentary, this clip shows the police 'lost' DNA evidence from a 13 year old girl who was raped.

@guardian @ukhomeoffice At every level, we see people who are meant to protect our children turning a blind eye to the abuse

@guardian @ukhomeoffice Labour MP for Bradford Naz Shah, who is of Pakistani heritage herself, retweeted that ‘those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of #diversity’. She claimed she did it by mistake, despite both liking and retweeting it.

@guardian @ukhomeoffice Using hundreds of thousands of taxpayers' money for legal aid, ringleaders from Rotherham have successfully managed to avoid deportation using a legal loophole & now walk our streets

Then Home Secretary @sajidjavid wrote a letter to them assuring they would not be deported

@guardian @ukhomeoffice @sajidjavid Despite all the horror and young lives ruined, we allow hundreds of undocumented Muslim asylum seekers into our country every week, most of whom are fighting age men.

Here's a video of an asylum seeker asking schoolchildren for their snapchat.

@guardian @ukhomeoffice @sajidjavid Nearly £1bn has been spent housing illegal immigrants this year, working out around £4.7m per day.

Even when you'd assume they'd be grateful and on their best behaviour while being processed, we see incidents of sexual abuse of our children

@guardian @ukhomeoffice @sajidjavid The grooming gang scandal is the most egregious example of racism in modern Britain

In a country where native British people are told they have White privilege, our most vulnerable are raped because they are White & their abusers are granted clemency because they are Asian

@guardian @ukhomeoffice @sajidjavid Many of the public handwave the grooming gang scandal simply because it's associated with people they don't like & are scared of acknowledging race. People are more worried about their reputation than our children.

In a healthy society, this scandal would've resulted mass change

We need to identify that this is a Muslim problem, overwhelmingly from the Pakistani community.

The words Islamophobia and racism have been used to stop push back against this dangerous and foreign ideology. The result is our children suffering the worst consequences possible.
