"As a result of the sudden death of Ivana Trump, Don Jr and Ivanka's testimony was delayed. This kind of delay is standard practice in court.

The thing is -- sudden, violent deaths of people in Donald Trump’s circle are *also* standard practice."

Trump has been an associate of a transnational crime syndicate for forty years. THAT is why people are suspicious of Ivana's death. This is suspicion based on precedent. People are viewing Ivana's death in the greater context of Trump’s life, criminal associates, and body trail.

Folks are speculating, and in some cases forming conspiracy theories, because Trump has been implicated in many actual, provable conspiracies: fraud schemes, attempted coups, mafia plots, etc. Trump's lawyer admitted that Trump made him threaten hundreds of people with violence.

Here is an abbreviated list of people in Trump's circle who died violent or untimely deaths, often when they were proving to be a problem for Trump or for other members of Trump’s crime cult. This does *not* mean Trump killed them. It's a side effect of being in a crime cult.

* 1989 helicopter crash of three Trump aides as his casinos were under investigation
* Robert Maxwell 1991 yacht death
* Jeffrey Epstein 2019 prison "suicide"
* Multiple people who dealt with Trump's finances, including Deutsche Bank father and son Bill and Valentin Broeksmit

* GOP operative Peter Smith, who gave an interview to the WSJ about how he tried to rig the 2016 election with the help of Russian hackers and was found dead holding a note that said NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER
* Jamal Khashoggi, relative of Trump pal/arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi

* Christine Seymour, assistant of Trump mentor Roy Cohn. Seymour was writing an expose about Cohn and his clients which included Trump and Trump's sister, she died in a car crash in 1994 and her manuscript was burned after her death

* Dozens of Russian operatives tied to the 2016 election and in some cases to members of the Trump campaign, including intelligence officers, millionaire businessman, and diplomats

It is so common for someone in Donald Trump's circle to die in a suspicious or violent way that when I wrote my book HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT, I had to add a disclaimer that Wayne Barrett, a journalist Trump despised, died of natural causes:

Acts of violence Trump committed before he became POTUS were often kept tightly under wraps, in part because he dispatched his lawyer Michael Cohen to threaten journalists. One of the stories they worked hardest to suppress was his alleged violent rape of Ivana.

In 1993, Harry Hurt III published the book Lost Tycoon. This is after Trump had gone bankrupt and left Ivana for Marla Maples. The book was written at what was probably the lowest point of Trump's life, and therefore the point where Ivana felt like she could speak most freely.

Based on documents from their divorce and interviews with the Trump's social circle, the book describes a horrific day in which Trump, angry about a scalp reduction surgery gone awry, attacks Ivana, pulls out her hair, rapes her, and then glares at her and asks "Does it hurt?"

As Cohen threatened journalists who sought to bring the spousal rape claim to light decades later, Ivana semi-retracted her claim that Trump had brutally raped her. She now said that she didn't mean he raped her in a “literal or criminal sense”.

In 2016, Harry Hurt III was told by his publisher, Norton, that Lost Tycoon was now “too dangerous” to remain in print. Hurt was deeply alarmed by Trump running for office and ended up republishing it himself on Kindle simply to get the word out.

Trump media coverage is not based on profit motive, but on narrative control. Norton could have made a fortune reissuing Hurt's book, but they instead decided to contain its revelations. Hurt, the author, was left to rebreak the story of Trump's history of crime on his own.

There are many horrific anecdotes in "Lost Tycoon" involving Trump urging someone to commit violence on his behalf. Here is one where he goads future Trump Org COO Matthew Calamari -- then his bodyguard-- to kill for him:

Over thirty years later, it was Matthew Calamari who stood guard in front of Ivana's apartment building shortly after her death
