10 years ago, we set a very clear mission: to image the whole world every day, making change visible, accessible & actionable.
Well, we did it! Today Planet operates 200 satellites taking >4m images per day & we’ve built a successful >$100M/yr rev. business on top. Phew!

Moreover, we have been inspired by the innovation and passion of our customers and partners to use these products to solve big, important problems. From increasing crop yields🌾 to aiding disaster response🌪️, from protecting the forests🌲 to shedding light on world events☀️

We’re extraordinarily proud of what we’ve collectively accomplished, and especially thankful to the incredible dedication of the Planet team. 🙏

But we need to do far more. We are in a planetary crisis, with biodiversity loss, ecocide, and climate change *urgently requiring greater action*.🍃♻️🌱
Every country must reduce its emissions and protect our ecosystems, & every company must track its sustainability goals

Luckily, we’ve wicked new tools & have only scratched the surface of their. For @planet there are hundreds of thousands of potential customers & partners that we do not yet serve.
Systematically enabling all these users is where we are going next.

We envision that our platform will unlock the value of Earth data for sectors across the globe - from agriculture & biodiversity conservation to security and intelligence - and change how we map 🗺️, monitor, & manage our planet.🌍

We will continue to innovate in space - launching new satellites and iterating upon our sensors to increase the frequency and resolution of our data – and in software too – leveraging advancements in AI, we will look to build a global index of change on this Earth.🛰️🚀🌐🌍

By providing these tools, we aim to empower millions of people to take positive action, enable the majority of Earth to be sustainably managed, all while ensuring @planet's a values-based & mission-aligned business.

The time is now to take action to protect our ecosystems🌲 and support global peace.☮️
We call on a new generation of partners, developers and “ecopreneurs” 🧑🔬to build with us to advance life on spaceship Earth!🌍
