The #SilentBitcoinSpaceHeater
A heating solution based on an Antminer S9 which allows of heating rooms without the crazy loud 90db Fans of an ASIC. Built with widely available parts and 3D printed pieces. Allowing anybody to build this at home. Of course OpenSource.

It has a heating power of 900W-1600W (depending on radiator size, room temperature and the power supply). Runs on 110V and 220V. And because it uses 12V everything there is no need for additional power.

The silent 12V fans are controlled by @braiins_systems Braiins running on the S9, ensuring the fans only run as fast as needed (therefore more silent).
The pump is a simple 12V 15W submersible pump using the 12V from the control board as well.

The oil gets pumped from the pan into a cheap PC radiator (different sizes are possible) were the oil cools and passes it's heat to the air. After the oil is cooled it gets injected via special injector plates below the miner and pushed through the miner to be heated up.

The injector plates are 3D printed in ABS and designed by @Adrian_van_Wijk they seal to the sides of the S9 case and ensure that the oil is evenly distributed and can only flow to the top of the miner.

On top of the miner, the oil overflows down on the sides of the miner, where it lands in the pan and gets picked up by the pump to complete the cycle. If there is no submersible pump available, the injector plates also have an outlet so a regular pump can be used.

Stock hash boards have a small foam piece that separates the boards from the casing, with the oil they are not enough to keep the oil in and will deteriorate over time. So we have small 3D printed plugs that seal better and prevent the oil to flow out.

The power supply sits on top of the miner, separated by the fan brackets and screws (no need to buy additional screws). This ensures a small footprint and that the power supply is not submerged.

Thanks to the small footprint the system can be put into almost any pan or cooler, like this 9Quarts/8Liter cooler.

Thanks to @braiins_systems Braiins OS+ the miner can be underclocked to 900W and with autotuning it still mines 11.6TH/s with an efficiency of 77 W/Ths.

Over the next couple of days and weeks we will publish a parts list, a full build video and of course answer any questions. See github.com/NakamotoHeatin… for finding the STLs of the injector plates
