I've had a lot of requests for more details on how the movement in my Deliverance build was achieved, so here's a πŸŒ€πŸŒ€threadπŸŒ€πŸŒ€:
#destiny2 #destiny2art #aotw

The geonodes are all identical, hollow in the middle and geared with inner teeth. I designed an interior gearing system involving four 5mm steel rods and two alternating sets of gears to create opposite motions with only the center axle providing continuous drive

Gear type A has two full-height gears, identical except for their center hole size. This results in an outer rotation opposite the power axle. Type B has three internal gears, giving motion in sync with the power axle. Two of these gears are half-height so they can overlap

I knew nothing about gears before this and it was really useful to be able to design and test virtually on geargenerator.com

Once I had the design it was straightforward to transfer to @tinkercad via svg and print using my normal @Prusa3D PLA

I drove the power axle with a 12v worm gear motor that would provide enough torque while still fitting inside the prop along with its battery pack

I would be happy to provide links to the materials I used and an STL file of the gears themselves - just drop me a DM.

I hope this is useful for anyone thinking of crafting their own VOTD raid props.

Thanks to @Bungie for keeping their space guns weird πŸŒ€πŸŒ€πŸŒ€
