OOC: Meant to update on Thurs but got distracted and built a coffee shop instead. Soz! Here's a longer update as compensation!

Update Below:

Pt. 3: First Recess

After a long morning of learning, it was finally time for recess! A-Yin was super excited, his little heart beating wildly as his imagination conjured up all sorts of fun things to do.

His Sang-gege had told him all kinds of stories about 'recess'.

How it was magical and fun and that the adults would let you play anything and everything. He had also seen lots of cartoons that showed recess was the coolest part about going to school!

So when the teacher said it was time for the class to get ready to go outside for recess,

Wanyin couldn't contain his excitement!

"A-ge, A-Qing, what do you want to do first?" Wanyin asked excitedly when the hoard of kindergarteners were set loose on the playground. Their classmates had wasted no time running & climbing all the colourful play equiptment.

To be fair, Xianyue kindergarten was one of the most prestigious kindergarten in the city. It boasted a host of enrichment programs - from the arts & languages to sports. It was also very very well funded; resulting in a state of the art everything.

Including a playground

that wouldn't look out of place in an amusement park. There were different types of swing sets, a mountainous 'castle' with plenty of slides (both regular & twisty), colourful monkey bars, see saws, animal shaped rockers, a 'boat' that could sway back and forth (it can go

really high the more you 'pushed' and A-Chao was already on it- going incredibly fast and high as he and a few others rocked it faster & harder).

In short, it was everything Sang-gege had said it'd be and MORE!

"I wanna try that!" Qingge said, pointing to a big, tilted disc

with bars on them before running ahead. A-Yin hadn't seen anything like that before. Mu Qing on the other hand furrowed his little brow in thought.

"But what if we get dizzy and vomit...?" he asked, a hand held over his belly. They had only just had snack time not too long ago.

"Eh, A-Qing, you know what that thing is?" Wanyin asked, turning big, curious eyes on the other boy. Mu Qing nodded.

"En. It's a merry-go-round. You stand on it and spins. But you hafta make sure you stand the right way." Mu Qing explained. Already, Qingge had the disc spinning

around; the other boy expertly moving his body to make the disc spin.

Wanyin was too amazed. The merry-go-round sounded so fun!

"Come on! It doesn't seem to go very fast." he spoke, holding Mu Qing's hand as they sped up to join the pouting Qingge. The other boy brighten

up like a freshly watered sunflower he caught sight of his two new friends and beckoned them to join him.

"Come. I need help to make it go faster!" Qingge spoke urgently. The merry-go-round was easy enough to play on alone but if he wanted it to go fast, he needed more people!

"Un! OK! Come on A-Qing!" Wanyin spoke to his other friend, even as he excitedly clambered on the merry-go-round; excited for his first time trying on.

"....fine. But not too fast, ok..." Mu Qing relented as Qingge and Wanyin cheered.

With all three of them on the merry-go-round, they managed to get it to go a lot faster. Qingge & Wanyin were having the time of their lives; giggling excitedly as the world spun around. Even Mu Qing was having a really good time- a cute little laugh escaping him with every turn.

Everything was going a-okay until a voice shouted out;

"Oh hey!! Let me help make you go faster!"

Without warning, someone had come up to the peacefully playing trio, grabbed one of the unoccupied hand rails & started to spin them around. Hard.

"This is much more fun, right?" the voice cackled as the kindergarteners laughter morphed into shocked screams of surprise.

"He-hey! Don't- stop it!" Mu Qing shouted, holding onto the bars with dear life. Qingge and Wanyin were also holding tight, though Qingge looked like he

was starting to enjoy the speed. Wanyin though- he couldn't help but close his eyes in fright.

"Don't stop? Got it! Here we go!" the voice laughed cheerily & suddenly the merry-go-round was going even faster! So fast that Wanyin & Mu Qing lost their grip on the bars & fell off!

The shock from falling after such a scary experience was too much! Mu Qing threw up & Wanyin burst into tears - sobbing uncontrollably.

"A-Yin! A-Qing!" Qingge's scream & the loud crying finally alerted the teachers who wasted no time in coming to see what had happened.

One of them swiftly carried Mu Qing away to get cleaned up & calmed down while the other tried calming down A-Yin -checking him over for injuries before asking what had happened. "We were playin' then he spun us around really fast!" Qingge said, pointing to the guilty looking

interloper. Now that Qingge got a good look at him - he was definitely an older kid!

"Mo Ran, you can't play so roughly with them. The younger boys could have gotten terribly hurt." the teacher scolded the older boy who had the decency to look shamed face as he apologised.

He hadn't meanth for any of that to happen! He just thought they'd like to go a bit faster is all! Like he personally did!

"Next time, ask before doing something." the teacher sighed as he ran a calming hand down Wanyin's back, the little boys sobs having turned to light

sniffles as he calmed down. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad & nothing was bleeding.

"Here, say sorry to Wanyin & Qingge. You'll have to apologise to Mu Qing too." the teacher said as Mo Ran nodded; apologising to Qingge who nodded & forgave him (because he liked going fast too.

But he didn't like the fact that his friends had been scared and got hurt and threw up, in Mu Qing's case).

"I'm sorry, Wanyin. I won't do it again." Mo Ran apologised to the green & brown clad boy. Wanyin turned to peer over his shoulder at the apologetic gege. He looked a

little bit like a kicked puppy & he really did seem sorry...

"Okay.... A-yin forgives you if you promise not to do again. It was scary. And you made A-Qing vomit." Wanyin spoke, voice having gone all nasaly from his crying.

Mo Ran promised, perking up at the fact that he was

forgiven by the two kindergarteners before running back inside-presumably to go apologise to Mu Qing too.

That incident marked the end of the harrowing first recess experince for Wanyin.

His Sang-gege and Jue-gege were going to be so shocked!
