MORE - There is still a link to a third-party website about the topic at the bottom of the page.

When you click on the link, a popup says, "CDC cannot attest to the accuracy of a non-federal website."

UPDATE - On the page CDC still says that "after the protein piece is made, our cells break down the mRNA and remove it, leaving the body as waste." Besides a link to a third-party website, it is no longer specified how long this "break down" process takes.

MORE - Did you know? Lidia Fonseca, a top executive at Pfizer, was previously a board member of Gannett, which is now the owner of USA Today.
