When you click on the link, a popup says, "CDC cannot attest to the accuracy of a non-federal website."
UPDATE - On the page CDC still says that "after the protein piece is made, our cells break down the mRNA and remove it, leaving the body as waste." Besides a link to a third-party website, it is no longer specified how long this "break down" process takes.
