Actually very smart to use a woman traveling with a child (wonder if it's actually her daughter), unlikely to raise suspicion at the border & checkpoints. Especially if they entered as refugees like millions of others.
Looks like they entered Russia with DPR license plates, too. Even less likely to be thoroughly checked.
There are around two million refugees from Donbass/Ukraine in Russia right now. Not the first time in recent history that refugee streams have been used as cover for terrorists, either.
A car that fits the description with the Ukrainian license plate the FSB named is currently on sale in Kiev, the seller has the same surname as Vovk's daughter.

Huge fuckup by the Russian Border Guard. I get that they're overwhelmed by the massive amounts of refugees but it's a sign of massive incompetence that even half a year after the beginning of the war they're still not in counter-terrorism mode.
Although she most likely had false documents. But still... Also had to pass a bunch of checkpoints in the DPR if she entered from there.

FSB has published a video with footage they obtained of the suspect entering & leaving Russia at border checkpoints (routinely filmed by Border Guard agents), plus CCTV footage of her entering the house in which Darya Dugina lived.

From what we know, she entered Russia as a blonde with Donetsk People's Republic license plates, drove around Russia with Kazakh license plates & left for Estonia as a brunette with Ukrainian license plates.
One of the official Azov Telegram channels denies knowing the woman and says that the assassination was a provocation to "prepare the Russian public for the trial against Azov members". Are they implying that before this Russians loved Azov? Lol
At least the suspect's family member (brother? son? unclear) who put up the car she used in Russia for sale has been definitely confirmed to be a member of Azov through various Ukrainian media reports and photos.
A RIA reporter visited the suspect's family in Mariupol; they confirmed that she was employed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and said that she left "for Europe", as she said, about a month ago without telling anyone details
Possible that she isn't a member of Azov since they're part of the National Guard and not AFU and it's just her family member who is an Azovite. Or she didn't tell her family. No proof either way
According to the FSB, the suspect entered Russia on July 23rd, so that matches her cousin's statement that she left "about a month ago".
Yes this is true, I hadn't noticed that part on her military ID.
A few sources are claiming that the suspect's military ID is fake, but the original posters just published another batch of Azov military IDs that seem authentic & check out & also other documents relating to her identity. Tbh not weird for a spy to have confusing paperwork
