#FloodsInPakistan

Day 1: we are dispatched towards Taunsa by Alkhidmat (Jamaat e Islami) with one ambulance full of medicines and paramedics, and other team to Rajanpur.

Taunsa barrage on our way was full to its maximum capacity.

We are contacted with local volunteers of Alkhidmat - Jamaat e Islami. (@AlkhidmatOrg) (@JIPOfficial)

Taunsa, hometown to Ex CM Punjab Buzdar, but basic life amenities were no where to be found. Flash flood from Koh e Suleiman range had devastated villages after villages.

Dykes were breached at three sites to save populated areas: Tibba Qaisarani, Retra, Rammak.

To reach our destination, we had to move off-road bypassing submerged commutable area.

Flood water had created earth fissures.

Acres and acres of paddy and cotton fields were destroyed. Our contact - Khurram bhai - had his 45 acres field destroyed by torrents of floods coming from koh e Suleiman.

No government’s administrative machinery was seen anywhere on the route and locals told that Alkhidmat was the only welfare org working during rescue and relief.

Camp was established at kalarwala, Naāri Janobi (Taunsa)!

Total patients: 175
Male: 51
Female: 52
Paeds: 72

Afterwards, ambulance was dispatched to Multan to refill medicine from Islamic Center (Alkhidmat - Jamaat e Islami Provincial HQ) and we spent night at Tibba Qaisarani

Day 2: we were dispatched to Pull Qambar.

Similar story:
- No government machinery anywhere
- Alkhidmat - JI, first one to reach the affected area, both during Rescue and Relief
- Had to move off road to reach destination (Basti Bahu Bekhaar بستی باہو بیگھاڑ)

Camp established.

Ambulance reached after refilling from Multan

Total patients: approx 295

Most patients in both camps presented with Gastrointestinal complaints and Skin diseases. Free medicines were provided by Alkhidmat - Jamaat e Islami.

From Taunsa, we were directed to reach DG khan. Tomorrow, camps will be established in flood hit areas of DG khan.

Day 3:

- dispatched to Chit Sarkani. Road was washed away in torrential waters.

- Ambulance and car couldn’t move any further. To reach the affected site, medical team needs to be on feet and supplies were transported by locals and paramedics of Alkhidmat

- Medical camp established @ Gothpur, Chit Sarkani, DG khan.

Total Patients: 101
M: 14
F: 15
Paeds: 72

Moved on to next location @ Basti Baju Khan, DG khan

In all 3 days, only one governmental fully furnished ambulance was seen. Government has completely forsaken its displaced citizens. They are at mercy of your donations.
