So some of my European friends still hesitate about the #visaban, as they still believe this war is about putin, and not all russians

This 🧵takes the example of Yulia Prokhorova to show how russians abroad are fueling this war with support and that a #visapurge might be needed

The russian Yulia Prokhorova came to prominence in August after sharing her video where she stalks and harasses two Ukrainian girls in Vienna yelling ‘F*ck Ukraine’

Previously she also amused herself by crashing the Ukrainian protests with a 🇷🇺flag safely behind the police line

She calls herself a “travel blogger”, being the coauthor of a Telegram channel “Germany: first person view” together with her husband, as they both are permanent residents (not citizens) of Germany

So these two live in the heart of the West supporting Russia’s war against it 👏

While the channel provides information about Prokhorovs couple routine in Germany, it is also a source of blatant anti-western, anti-Ukrainian and pro-war propaganda, hate-speeches and even antisemitism, which in Germany is a criminal offense, if I am not mistaken

As you can see - her outrageously disgusting posts are literally fomenting racial, religious and ethnic strife

This is the level of Solovyov, Skabeeva or Simon’yan.
The difference is, however, is that Prokhorova resides in the EU and enjoys the benefits of so much sordid West

And her example is only a scratch on the surface - ask the citizens of the Baltic states on the attitude of the russians residing there and you will mostly hear the same stories - hatred, hate-speeches, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia and megalomania

And if we sincerely want russia to change - it has to change not just from the top, but from the bottom as well.
People, nurtured with propaganda, lies and hatred will not change their attitudes voluntarily, especially - if they feel untouchable, as sanctions don’t affect them

Therefore, I would be considering not just a #visaban for potential visitors, but a #visapurge for existing residents of EU countries, who play a role Russia Today was playing abroad, stirring trouble and encouraging hatred

Russians should realize that tolerating Putin’s terrorist regime and the bellicose chauvinism and xenophobia of their compatriots will close the doors to a civilized world.
