You see, that's very subjective. How would you assess e.g. the relative rank of Armenians vs Azerbaijanis?

Liberal intelligentsia: Armenians = ancient Christian people, Azerbaijanis = Turkic nomads. Ergo Armenians >>> Azerbaijanis

Working class: Armenians = Azerbaijanis = apes

I would say that upper classes are more culturalist and being Christian/ancient civilisation plays a big role for them. Working classes' perspective tends to be purely anthropological. They don't care about "ancient culture", "Christian" crap, they just see you as an ape

That's why Karabakh war was a huge thing for intelligentsia but not for masses. Intelligentsia saw it as a conflict of Muslim barbarians vs Christian civilisation and called for a crusade. Masses didn't give a damn though. Neither Armenians and Azeri were seen as fully human

I would say that Russian intelligentsia is more prone to Christian ecumenism/crusadish mindset than the masses. From the lower classes perspective that's all too abstract and complicated. Their system of prejudices is much simpler and has very little of Christian solidarity

That's one reason why I'm against the Russian opposition. You see, having a:

1) strong centralised government
2) which is filled by intelligentsia and is under pressure from intelligentsia

is almost a guarantee that Kremlin will use 100% of its powers on the anti-Muslim crusade

Another reason is that opposition has no fundamental differences with Putin in their political philosophy. Their thinking is just as non-contractual and the very idea of pressuring Kremlin to give concessions is seen as lese majeste. I'll give details in my thread on them
