@midgetmummsie The appearance of the smiling child—therefore all is ok is made worse I think in homes or circles where geniality is deemed the norm. Presenting at a school or #church with those smiles hides such pain & fear the child may lose a parent or physical security. #ParentalAlienation/1
@midgetmummsie 2/is certainly a systematic and circular circumstance by facilitator and recipient. When you first come across it all events seem one offs. However over time the mindset of the abuser & understanding their intent to harm the child — while the child smiles in blind trust becomes/3
@midgetmummsie 3/ apparent. We should not be surprised that an aggrieved parent who is rejected by a partner for abuse of a child or self lashes out this way. To suggest alienation — abuse of child and parent does not occur is highly ignorant.Again it is systematic, involves isolation, use /4
@midgetmummsie 4/of authorities and in some cases death of children. It certainly falls down at the point of leaving. At this time of upheaval outside agencies find difficultly in seeing the cause often due to the abuser presenting well and the child’s smiles ( to cope). This false narrative /5
@midgetmummsie 5/often presented without outsiders believing the reason for leaving may be constant threats by the abuser to end their own life, threats to children and a general mental dysfunction. These times can be extremely dangerous and persist, if no forensic PA psychological support. /6
@midgetmummsie 6/(After watching for 20 yrs)The inventiveness & circular opportunistic manner #ParentalAlienation occurs is not behaviour of most ‘normal’ people. There is a heavy reliance on image which also confuses the child through to adulthood,in that they must hide the truth at all cost.
@midgetmummsie *Shouldn’t be surprised as we live in a world of increasing entitlement. Add family of origin who abuse #children or solo parent who does this. The “it was done to me”prevails.Needed is respectful relationships edu, adaption to change & respect other parent,so as to respect child.
