The creator himself blogged that it's creation was LOVE of Jalaluddin Mohd. RUMI.
The creator in the blog mentioned that Ranbir's character was a long haired icon of love and soul RUMI as an inspiration & the concept of Fire was from DRAGON.
Hence it was first named as DRAGON and Part-1 was called Love... (2)

Remember the dialogue, Brahmastra ki Kismat ka "SIKANDAR" & hear the song Deva Deva which has still retained many Sufiana and Urdu words and mostly depicts Sufiana love and then the words Om Deva Deva are added .
Ironically the concepts of love of RUMI and dragon from fire were then told to be inspired to be originated from HINDUISM in promotion campaigns. (4)

One can only imagine why the change of Inspiration but having said that the soul of the movie originated from hindu philosophy was indeed a deception Point .
