Among climatologists it is common knowledge that "global warming" isn't very global. It mostly makes frigid winter nights a bit milder at high latitudes. In other words, it makes climate more equable.

High latitude warming is very beneficial, because cold temperatures are far more dangerous than hot temperatures.
