I was moved to do a thread on the achievements of then governor of Anambra State Peter Obi. Everything you'll see on the thread are all verifiable if only we can just take out time to research them on the Internet.

Peter Obi was sworn in as the governor of Anambra State on March the 17th 2006. I won't waste our time on the whys and the reasons he was impeached twice as the thread is about his achievements whilst in office.

He came on-board when the crime rate, kidnapping and insecurity was rife in Anambra State as at that time and he quickly went about doing the following.

Went into dialogue with those causing chaos and mayhem in the state and when that failed he quickly involved the security..

... agents in the state by procuring over and donating 3 armoured personnel carriers and over 350 patrol vehicles to the police procured through innosson vehicle manufacturing company, Nnewi

He constructed and rehabilitated over 900km of roads, and 28 bridges out of which the Odo bridge being the longest bridge constructed in Anambra State in 2010 by Peter Obi and the bridge is located between ugbu, oko and omaokpala.

He constructed the Anambra State teaching hospital and also revamped and gave grants missionary teaching hospitals in the state.

Returned over 1000 school back to the missions and also donated and distributed over 22,500 laptops and printers worth over N2.65B for secondary schools in the state.

Procured and distributed over 1000 transformers in communities all around Anambra state and also cleared pensions and gratuites owed by the state since 1996.

Built 2 major hotels for the state out of which is the popular Golden Tulip Agulu lake hotel and resort center.

Revamped Harbour industrial layout onitsha by building access roads, power sub stations which attracted large and medium industries and was commissioned by then President Goodluck Jonathan.

Before he was sworn in, no health sector was accredited in anambra state, but before he left he got 14 institutions and 2 teaching hospitals including the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu teaching hospital (COOUTH) which he built to be accredited.

Built a built the one and only state secretariat in the state since it's creation in 1991.

All these and more are actually out there if only this elections are based on individual achievements whilst in government.

My vote is for Peter Obi & Yusuf Datti and this is me doing my bit in creating awareness for his candidacy. #Obidatti
