Let’s do a recap of the Martha’s Vineyard drama, shall we?

We have to go back to November 2021 when it is discovered that Joe Biden had TRAFFICKED (their words not mine) 70 flights of Migrants to Florida in the dead of night.
So The Florida legislature included $12mm in the FY 22-23 budget to transport migrants to sanctuary cities. They voted on it. They passed it.
Governor DeSantis flew 48 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, a resort destination for the wealthy, saying: “We are not a sanctuary state, and it's better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction. We will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures,
Every community in America should be sharing in the burdens. It shouldn't all fall on a handful of red states.”

This is great! This should be celebrated! After all Massachusetts is a De facto Sanctuary State per Lunn v The commonwealth.
And Martha’s Vineyard LOVES EVERYONE.
BUT TO MY SHOCK, The left had hypocritical melt downs, while somehow also patting themselves on the back. Charlotte Clymer insisted that the Migrants would be MV’s newest citizens while praising the “Christlike” actions of the millionaires & Liz Warren, bloviating about “dignity”
Awe yes dignity. Surely these 48 weary travelers could be housed at one of the prestigious hotels or in one of the hundreds of Mansions the island has to offer.
lol Nah, they corralled them all at tiny St Andrews, where they would be evicted ASAP.
The National Guard is brought in, we can only assume because the millionaires felt unsafe by their new guests
The MV residents themselves discussed what to do in Facebook groups. WHAT COULD THE PEOPLE POSSIBLY NEED.
Lucky for them, the 48 migrants would not be their problem for much longer. They were evicted from the church that gave them sanctuary when none of the millionaires would as soon as humanly possible.
You must understand. These are wealthy people and they can’t even house the help.
The unwashed migrants will be right at home in their new bunkers far away from their betters.
They would not cause anymore aesthetic concerns for the millionaires.
What is saddest is that Governor DeSantis tried to give these migrants the ultimate American dream of meeting PRESIDENT OBAMA and he couldn’t even be bothered to make an appearance.
Oh well. Maybe next time.
