A reading list of five life-changing books to get through difficult times. These are beloved cult classics, not always seen on transient bestseller shelves. They have stood the test of time. #WisdomWednesday

1. "When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice For Difficult Times" by Pema Chödrön. How do we live our lives when everything seems to fall apart? When we are continually overcome by fear, anxiety, and pain? The answer 'might be just the opposite of what you expect.'

2. "Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life With the Heart of a Buddha" by Tara Brach. She's a clinical psychologist and a popular Buddhist teacher. The name says it all - it's not for the faint-hearted, but I highly recommend it.

3. "Man's Search For Meaning" by Austrian Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl. 'Everything can be taken away from us except the ability to choose our attitude in any given set of circumstances.'

"The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life" by Mark Manson -- I loved this one! But you have to keep reading it every now and then because it's easy to forget.

"Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management For Mortals" by Oliver Burkeman. This is a book to read when you are feeling overwhelmed by it all. He reminds is that our time on earth is finite, and that's okay. And thankfully, we get to choose how we will spend that time.
