Ending the day with visit to Vidhya Rajagopalaswamy Temple, Mannargudi. One of the important Vaishnava shrines in India also known as Dakshina Dwaraka. We were just in time to witness the Pallaki Seva of Lord and a super cute baby elephant in the seva of Lord.

Vishnu still agreed and married her and till date the prasadam offered to Lord doesn't have Salt. Hence the name Oppu-illia-appan.
Next is Nachiar Kovil or Thirunaryur Nambi Kovil. Kal Garuda is the prominent feature of this temple. The moolavirat and utsav moorthi of Garuda are same. The procession starts with 4 people carrying the Kal Garuda but increases to 8, 16, 32, 64 & 128 as the moorthi's weight keep
+Increasing as the utsavam progresses and vice versa. The aspect is treated magical as drops of sweat are also observed on the image of Kal Garuda during the 6 hour long procession held in Marghazi and Panguni.

Next up is Mahamaham Tank, considered to be the largest temple tanks in Tamilnadu.
Next is Adi Kumbeswarar & Mangalambigai Amman Kovil, Kumbakonam. The town derives its name from the Lord. Legend says this is the first Shiva Linga consecrated on earth in Kaliyuga by the Lord himself.
Next is Sri Chakrapani Swamy Kovil dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Like Lord Shiva, Lord Chakrapani had third eye on his forehead. Here Lord Vishnu is in the form of Sudarshana Chakra.
Next is Sarangapani Kovil dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The name Sarangapani refers to the one with bow in hand. Sarangam meaning bow and pani means hand in Sanskrit.
Next is Ramaswamy Kovil. The temple has massive idols of Kothandaramaswamy, Sita Thayar, Lakshmana, Bharata, Shatrughna and Hanuman in the sanctum sanctorum. The other feature of this temple is Sita is in sitting posture.
Last for the trip is Kasi Viswanathar & Visalakshi Kovil, Kumbakonam. This is situated close to Mahamaham Tank.
Overall a very satisfying trip and we covered maximum temples around Trichy, Tanjavur and one would require atleast full one week to cover all the temples in this circuit. Most of them are massive with huge idols but poor maintenance. Appreciation to Arachakars for managing
The show day in and day out despite very little support from Govt.
