Marcus:@WFPUgandaCD speciality is absolutely essential, but it cannot be the only solution to ending hunger. It must be accompanied by investments in sustainable livelihoods, early warning and preparedness. #WFD2022
Marcus:For example, we're piloting fish farming and beekeeping because these are the choices of the people of Karamoja that we're working with. #WFD2022
Marcus:With the support of our donors and collaboration with our partners. We plan to expand this work and also drive for more permanent food and nutrition solutions for many of the 1.3 million refugees we currently assist. #WFD2022
Marcus:World Food Day is an opportunity for all of us here today to recommit to that vision of Zero Hunger.
Marcus: The @WFP reaffirms our commitment to working with the @GovUganda and our partners to achieve better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life. Let's leave no stone unturned as we look to achieve that let's leave no one behind. #WFD2022
