7 Lessons from Building A Second Brain

(thread)

1) Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.

2) There are four essential capabilities that we can rely on a Second Brain to perform for us:

3) it is our responsibility and right to choose our information diet. It's up to us to decide what information is good for us, what we want more of and less of, and ultimately, what we do with it.

4) To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.

5) If at any point you feel overwhelmed, take a step back and focus on what is immediately necessary: your most important projects and priorities.

6) As you consume a piece of content, listen for an internal feeling of being moved or surprised by the idea you're taking in. This special feeling of "resonance"
-like an echo in your soul-_-is your intuition telling you that something is literally "noteworthy."

7) Knowledge isn't always something "out there" that you have to go out and find. It's everywhere, all around you.
