Rich Peon Poor Peon was a new test for us.

It was our first NFT project that had no semblance of JOE and served as the litmus test of whether we had any business building NFT projects.

Here are 5️⃣ things I learned that I hope other NFT projects may find useful 🧵

1. Keep the messaging short and simple

Engagement is how you spread awareness so it's paramount that your messaging is short and simple. It doesn't matter if you're English, French or Frog - smash rock and PGMI are simple enough for anyone to understand and repeat over again.

2. Be culturally relevant

We tend to gravitate towards things we can relate to. We figured that most people in crypto read business books abundantly so we aptly named the collection after the most famous business book of all time. Be memetic.

3. Make it easy for people to share content

The Peons discord has a channel called #retweet-a-peon. Peons know they can share their tweets in there and it will be RT'd by hundreds of other peons. They get engagement, we get awareness. It's a wonderful feedback loop.

4. Get people to post real life photos with your pfp

Real photos, even with a pfp covering the face, are an extremely powerful form of social proofing and the best form of content there is. So do everything you can to get people to post these types of content.

5. Get people to post content

Which brings me to my final point. The call to action is the most important step in the marketing funnel yet so many people disregard this step. So get in discord and actually tell your community to post content!

Note that all these pointers are ridiculously simple and can be implemented by anyone. NFT projects are mostly about a coordination problem than a technical/engineering problem, so don't overcomplicate things!
