1) Battle near Ahmednagar (May, 1657) โ Nasiri Khan defeats Shivaji in personal command; slaughtering or wounding most of his army.
2) Afzal Khan's march from Bijapur to Wai (1659) โ Afzal Khan of Bijapur defeats Marathas with unbroken success slaughtering them in great numbers.
3) Siege of Panhala & Pavangarh fort (1660) โ Bijapuris defeat Maratha garrisons present & take the forts successfully.
4) Capture of Poona & North Konkan (April-May, 1660) โ Mughals forces under Shaista Khan occupied the places after defeating Marathas.
5) Conquest of Chakan fort (15th August, 1660) โ Shaista Khan captures Chakan fort & puts to sword the Maratha garrison present inside.
6) Capture of Purandhar valley (30th March, 1665) โ Dilir Khan defeats a large body of Maratha soldiers & gunners & captures Purandhar valley.
7) Battle of Kudal and Battle near Bijapur (1660) โ Shivaji defeated by Desai of Savant-vadi (Bijapur's vassal) and a Maratha army defeated by Gocolnda-Bijapur forces near Bijapur.
8) Battle at Vingurla (1663) โ Shaista Khan defeats a Maratha army killing 200 men.
9) Defeat of Netaji Palkar (March, 1663) โ Netaji Palkar, a formidable general of Shivaji was forced to retreat with a loss. This defeat foiled Shivaji's entire plan of raids.
10) Defeat of Shivaji (1664) โ Bijapuris under Khawas Khan defeated Shivaji & slew 6000 Marathas.
11) Capture of Vajragarh fort (14th April, 1665) โ Dilir Khan captures Vajragarh fort forcing Marathas to surrender.
12) Skirmish at Lohgarh (5th May, 1665) โ A mughal party routs a force of 1000 foot & 500 horse with severe losses.
13) Siege of Purandhar (1665) โ Shivaji surrenders 23 forts & is caught in person by Jai Singh. He submits as a vassal & slave to Emperor Aurangzeb.
14) Siege of Panhala (1666) โ a defensive victory for Bijapuris as Shivaji fails to take the fort & sustains heavy casualities.
15) 1st siege of Ponda (1666) โ Shivaji fails to take to Ponda fort and retreats with a loss of 700 Maratha soldiers.
16) 2nd siege of Ponda (1666-1667) โ Shivaji's forces besieging the fort are routed and Marathas fail again to take the fort.
17) Siege of Parnir, Junar, Mahuli (April, 1670) โ defensive victory for Mughals as Marathas raise siege seeing small Mughal vanguard.
19) Battle of Vani (October, 1670) โ Mughals repulsed Marathas despite Maratha forces being 5 times greater than Mughal.
20) Siege of Dhodap fort (Dec, 1770) โ Mughal defensive victory as Muhammad Zaman repelled the attacks unaided.
21) Battle at Hathgarh (Dec, 1770) โ Daud Khan defeats Marathas & slays 700 of them.
22) Conquest of Chandor fort (Jan, 1671) โ Daud Khan conquers the Chandor fort.
23) Defeats in Berar (Nov-Dec, 1772) โ Marathas are defeated thrice in the period sustaining massive losses of life & wealth as they had to leave off all their booty.
24) Battle near Bahadurgarh (Jan, 1673) โ Mughals led by Bahadur Khan defeat Marathas in a severe battle.
25) Battles of Bankapur and Chandgarh (1633) โ Shivaji was defeated twice and expelled out of Kanara.
26) 1st siege of Shivner fort (1673) โ Abdul Aziz Khan, a brahmin convert, defeats Marathas & scores a defensive victory as Marathas fail to conquer the fort.
26) Kanara raids (June, 1673) โ Marathas are constantly defeated & expelled from Kanara by Bijapuris under Bahlol Khan.
27) Battle of Nesari (1674) โ Bahlol Khan defeats and kills Pratap Rao, one of the most formidable Maratha general of Shivaji.
28) Bahlol Khan's revenge (1674) โ Marathas overtook & plundered Bahlol Khan's outnumbered Bijapur army (5000 men only). Bahlol Khan revenged it soon.
29) Affairs at Sunda (1675) โ Marathas are defeated and expelled out of Supwa and Whurwa. 300 Marathas are killed.
30) Reconquest of Danda-Rajpuri fort (1671) โ Siddis reconquer the fort of Danda-Rajpuri which had earlier been captured by Shivaji from them.
31) Mughal Naval expedition (1672-1675) โ Shivaji's sea port towns are burnt and destroyed along 500 Maratha ships.
32) Siege of Danda-Rajpuri (1673) โ Shivaji tries to recapture Danda-Rajpuri fort but he lost lives of 15,000 marathas. What a humourous & humiliating defeat.
33) Siege of Janjira (1676) โ heavily outnumbered Siddis repulsed Shivaji's forces; Shivaji fails to take the fort.
34) 2nd siege of Shivner fort (1678) โ Shivaji again fails to take Shivner fort guarded by Pandit Abdul Aziz Khan.
35) Siege of Bhupalgarh (April, 1679) โ Dili Khan captures Bhupalgarh fort; one hand of 700 maratha soldiers were cut; rest Marathas were sold into slavery.
36) Efforts of Raise the siege of Bhupalgarh (1679) โ Dilir Khan defeated a Maratha army of 16,000 comming to relieve the fort of Bhupalgarh.
37) Invasion of siddi state (1659) โ Shivaji sent Samraje Pant to invade siddi lands but Fateh Khan defeated Peshwa with great slaughter.
38) Defeat against Dilir Khan (1679) โ Shivaji was utter routed by Dilir Khan. Out of 9,000 marathas, only 500 returned. 2000 Maratha horses were also captured.
39) Battle of Surat (1679) โ Peshwa was defeated by Ranmast Khan. 2000 Marathas were slain; 400 horses captured.
40) Battle of Sangamner (1679) โ Sidhoji Nimbalkar is defeated and slain along with most of his forces.
41) Battle of Jalna (1679) โ Shivaji routed by Ranmast Khan, 4000 maratha cavalry is slain, most of the plundered booty is recovered.
On 5th April, 1680 โ Shivaji finally went to hell. He died defeated as his last campaign resulted in shameful defeats.
