The way the blue bird is going, who knows how many more chances to torture you all with train pictures I will get! Was out today, starting with the London to Toronto GO Train arriving in Kitchener…the first signs of winter railroading… #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
While it’s not a blue bird, it is a damn big bird. I saw him swoop into a field sending crows scattering, then land in the tree while driving between Putnam and Ingersoll looking for the Ontario Southland Railway…
The OSR was out, but only two crews and 3 units, and only 3 cars for Cami Automotive, really need that plant to pick back up building whatever EV Delivery Vans are in its future #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
Caught an OSR Maintenance Crew welding a switch at Beachville, then VIA Train 72 at Woodstock, the first and last cars are empty barriers because of safety concerns with the old stainless steel cars, not very cost efficient dragging empty cars about #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
Then, onto Brantford for some ratty patched and painted locos on the local, followed by a manifest at the station and a stacks\auto at Hardy at the west end. #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
After a swing through Cambridge to the best Scottish Bakery in Ontario, it was off to hunt for some CPR action, the Toyota crews were mostly hiding, so I headed to Campbellville to catch Train 236 climbing up to Guelph Junction from Hamilton #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
And wrapped for the day with a swing by Kipling close to home. Thought I might have beat 236 and caught it again, but just missed thanks to late afternoon traffic, so got a GO train to bookend a day where I caught five different railways in action. #TrainsAreCool #Railfanning
