So you all remember back in 2020 when I had that thread on the cheap as chips $20 HDMI capture card that BLEW UP big time?
Well guess what? I'm back with another, this time it's next generation and better than before!
You'll remember I cracked open this "USB 3.0" unit that was MS2109 based, that ended up being just a blue USB 2.0.....
Well this one is QUITE a bit different under the hood, not only are there THREE USB Data Pairs (Oh hell yes) but the chip is now upgraded to boot, cored by a MS2130 USB 3.1 Capture Chip!
The important flags are set on tree readout, SS capable and USB300 flipped to TRUE. So that's full big pipeline enumeration!!!!
But best news of all with this PHAT data pipe???
OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, Uncompressed YUY 1080@60 248.8MB/s
Here's the cool details, all supported resolutions and color spaces. I think we have a BIG WINNER for new King Of Cheap Capture Cards and a new crowned "Can't Link V2"
Anyway, get me @EposVox on the line, we got another live one for cheap and cheerful capture card! True USB3.0 and YUY 1080@60 for under $20!!!!
@EposVox Oh yes, and it ABSOLUTELY supports HDCP (Again, LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
@EposVox The clamoring for a link has begun and thus I deliver.
At time of posting the cost is 18.91 on sale from 21.99 list price.
I ordered a little over 12 days ago to door.
Disclosure, it is commission link (Gonna buy FPGAs lmao)

@EposVox Have not yet found an Amazon storefront listing for this hardware, may be too new to make landing on western platforms as of yet.
Even cooler is there's an open source firmware for this chip and open hardware layouts (May be a slightly different chip rev, as it's not 1:1 QFN like my sample in the repo image).
GLHF getting the chips for it though, that there will be nightmare fuel.
