Our crisis cafe, led by active substance users, designed by members, focused on recovery, healing, Islam, a warm space, cultural food & our own 12 step programme was busy yesterday. We had a Coach present Islamic healing & harm reduction; @NevilleSouthall @DrGilluley #BlackFriday

Our lead Mukhtar M has really impacted substance misuse services as per his data, over 67 referred to @changegrowlive @ResetRecovery & over 280 people engaged with. The model focuses on deep healing & creating safety @newhamcommunity @LutfurRahmanTH @kieran_andrieu @MaiumMiah

The entire substance misuse debate needs urgent attention. Partners are trying their best, but how treatment is provided & how healing is provided must be reimagined. We create safety & we listen to listen; @ScrtDrugAddict @TNLUK @BlackEquityOrg @TheVoiceNews #WorldcupQatar2022
