Somehow, there's a popular narrative that's been pushed for a long time that Trump "abandoned" Jan 6 prisoners.. and whenever he speaks out about them, he's criticized for not doing more...

Here's a timeline of Trump standing up with Jan6ers:

From the very beginning, on Jan7th, 2021, under insane amount of pressure, President Trump removed lines about prosecuting Jan6ers from his post-Jan6 remarks. Read carefully the lines he chose to remove, it speaks volumes. cbsnews.com/news/trump-jan…

Now compare that with what other politicians said, for example, DeSantis who was under ZERO pressure:

Trump even wanted to join the his supporters outside the Capitol “Secret Service wouldn’t let me,” Trump told The Washington Post in April. “I wanted to go. I wanted to go so badly. Secret Service says you can’t go. I would have gone there in a minute.”

Trump released this statement on July 1, asking "Who shot Ashley Babbitt?" This was hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her appointments to the Jan 6th committee.

Then again, at his July 3 rally, he defended Ashley, revealed that he spoke to her mother. He also said: "how come there's many people still in jail over Jan6..why are republican leaders like McConnell afraid to take up the subject?"

He spoke out again on July 13, 2021:

Anti-Trump people understand the significance of Trump speaking out about this:

"The Chilling Message of Trump’s Embrace of Ashli Babbitt Martyrdom January 6 is now a heroic uprising for the movement."

Trump released another statement on September 16, 2021:

Again on September 25, 2021:

Trump sent a video message on Ashley's birthday:

Jan 15, 22:"These ppl are living in hell..they're being hounded like the worse animal..what's going on is horrible in Washington..the jails are filthy, disgusting dirty..brutal lockdowns, the showers are disgusting..we should help them defend their selves"

April 2022: "We will...demand justice for the Jan. 6th prisoners and full protection of their civil rights." -President Donald J. Trump

Trump revealed he has been supporting them financially: businessinsider.com/donald-trump-s…

Video version:

Trump invited Cynthia Hughes of the J6 Patriot Freedom Project to speak on stage in PA:

He’s always been closely in touch with them behind the scenes, here he is again speaking to Ashley's mother:

BTW, those are just a few instances, Trump held 35+ rallies in the election cycle, he spoke out about Jan6ers almost every time.

For those saying Trump could've blanket-pardoned them, it's practically impossible, especially within just 13 days:

-the OVERWHELMING majority weren't even identified, they were detained & charged AFTER he left office.

-It's been reported at the time that police officers were killed. Not a good idea pardoning alleged murderers.

-There were outside provocateurs, wouldn't have been a good idea pardoning them.

-Trump was under the threat of impeachment, Senate would've convicted him.

-Almost no one was calling for them to be pardoned back then, everyone, like Gov DeSantis, was wishing them the worst.

Trump actually considered it, but again, it was impossible. politico.com/news/2022/02/0…

Thread:

NO ONE had a louder voice, or has done more for Jan6 prisoners, than Donald Trump, all while being under unprecedented witch hunt investigations, he knew he would be accused of countless things if he spoke out, but that didn't hold him back.

It's disgusting seeing lies like this vilifying him. So many believe nonsense like "Trump set them up" "Trump abandoned them", "Too little too late".. Sickening.

The battle isn't over. Trump is the only way moving forward. No one represents Jan6ers & the movement more than that man, not even close. Those who say otherwise don't care about J6ers & don't care about the movement. #Trump2024

Aunt of J6 defendant: “Ron Desantis has nothing to do with any of the people from FL, and there are more people from FL than any other state who were arrested for J6. He ignores every one of their calls.”

@NotAlexSheppard is a J6 defendant himself, and he's still one of Trump's biggest supporters. He knows the "Trump abandoned J6ers" narrative is BS.

Trump teamed up with J6 prisoners to record a tribute song titled 'Justice for All'

It featured 20 prisoners singing national anthem through a jailhouse phone with Trump reciting pledge of allegiance, & all proceeds will go to help the prisoners' families

It's sick that there are many ppl still lying and saying "Trump abandoned J6ers"... J6ers and their families themselves are on video debunking that narrative, yet low lives who don't even care about J6ers, are still exploiting the situation for their anti-Trump agenda.

Thanks to all those who are posting this thread. Their lies must be exposed.
