On 29th October Cornelius McAfee a retired history teacher, Islington resident & campaigner for better public toilet provision cycled to all public toilets listed on the council website👇
🚲🚽First stop - Junction of Holloway Road and Camden Road. NOT IN USE❌. The automated toilet was closed with the door wedged open with a 3 inch gap 👇
🚲🚽2nd stop - Seven Sisters Road (by junction with Fonthill Road). OUT OF SERVICE❌. The public toilet was not in operation.👇
🚲🚽3rd stop - Highbury Crescent. OUT OF SERVICE❌. The public toilet was not in operation. 👇
🚲🚽4th stop - Highbury Fields (off Church Path by the tennis courts). IN USE 🟢 (sort of❌) - The original toilets on the right were not in use by the temporary toilets on the left were available. 👇
🚲🚽5th stop - Newington Green. NOT IN USE❌ - The toilets were not in use with tape over the entrance. 👇
🚲🚽6th stop - Islington Green. OUT OF ORDER ❌ - The public toilet was not in service. 👇
🚲🚽7th stop - City Road (junction with Central Road). OUT OF ORDER ❌ - The public toilets were not in use. 👇
