R3 received 1b~ $XRP in 2019 & was eligible for the #FLR token snapshot (2020) / Airdrop (2023)
R3 bought the #XRP from Ripple with the terms they would develop a new use case for the XRPL -- Might be Tokenized Derivatives settled using $FLR as collateral for smart contracts.
This is assuming R3 didn't sell the XRP they had the option to buy & it's assuming the settlement required R3 to uphold their end of the deal -- "Develop a use for XRP."
