First - here is what nightmare mode is and how it changed my life:
1) What to do during nightmare mode
THIS is where most people fail before they start
Nightmare mode isn't for filling your taxes
It's for hitting precise Target w/ laser targeted focus
You must first define the target, here is what I did:
My first nightmare mode target was simple
I wanted to do $100/day in revenue
I knew how to do it (how to source offers, create landers, setup traffic) from reading forums/yt videos
It was simply a matter of getting VERY VERY good at doing those things
Thus I structed my days as follows:
- 7am wake up
- 4 hrs of launching offers/creating landers that I HAD already put into a spreadsheet
- Gym
- 2 hrs of analysing prv day data
- Meditate
- 2 hrs of finding new offers for spreadsheet
- Eat
- 2hrs learning
Repeated 14 times
Magic happens when you're deprived of ALL dopamine other than your work
You dream of what you're going to do
All you think about is what you're doing
You're not thinking about Game of thrones, video games, friends or girls.
Laser focused, you become very good very fast
Key point here is to plan your day for the entire nightmare mode to the minute BEFORE you start
With the right focus, the next challenge is staying on track
2) How to resist the demons (w/o God-Like discipline)
During nightmare mode you'll be tempted 100 times a day to deviate
To get off track
& if you fall off track, you're done
Top 3 demons you'll face in Nightmare Mode:
1) Distractions
2) Uncertainty
3) Emotional Volatility
Distractions are the most destructive BUT also the easiest to conquer w/ environment
I turned off my phone during the day & used Cold Turkey (software) on my laptop to block all non-work sites for the entire sprint
I unplugged my TV
I got rid of all the snack food in my house
Uncertainty is your mind trying to trick-fuck you
You'll think
"Am I even moving the needle?"
"Is this even worth it?"
"Maybe I should conclude this sprint and plan the next one"
Ignore, ignore, ignore
Use the Forrest Gump method
I literally imagined myself AS FORREST
The retarded mf becomes a millionaire
Why?
Because he doesn't analyze
He just FUCKING EXECUTES as planned
Never analyze the results of your sprint DURING the sprint
Run Forrest, run to SUPER SUCCESS
Last is emotional volatility
You'll feel manic and depressive during the nightmare mode
This is where gym and meditation comes in
These are the only 2 non-work activities you're able to do
They will stabilize your mood and are essential
3) How long to do it for?
Longest sprint of mine is 3 weeks, the shortest is 1 week
BUT
2 weeks is a solid sweet spot and the one I most often use
NMM is no joke, don't set it at like 2 months (you will fail)
