Translation thread of the Bleach site interview with Kubo Tite (the creator) and Morita Masakazu (Kurosaki Ichigo's voice actor)! #BLEACH_anime #BLEACHTYBW
A very rough summary + skipped the personal questions since I am away on a trip right now 🙇♂️
- Morita didn't feel the 10 year anime gap thanks to his Bleach Brave Souls work
- credits Klab for connecting fans worldwide, but notes the difference b/w recording game lines vs recording anime "conversations"
- he/Kubo note how the VAs' voices have "memorised" their characters
- Kubo is involved with the recording sessions remotely, gives feedback to returning VAs; even the veterans would feel anxious (eg. Miki Shinichirou/Urahara's VA)
- Kubo never really noticed Ichigo's voice sounding different in TYBW, thinks it suits Ichigo's growth
- Morit explains how he's made his Getsuga Tenshou sound different in TYBW (eg. "getsuga" lingers longer)
- he imagined another voice for Ichigo when he first read the manga and tried to replicate it; notes he has finer control of his voice for TYBW!Ichigo unlike before
- a memorable moment from TYBW production: Sugou Takayuki (Yhwach's VA) not being able to read the katakana words in his script
- Morita remembers Sugou having a similar problem for his Zangetsu lines in the 1st anime

- Kubo says there will be new fights; he drew 5-6 pages of instructions when the staff said they wanted to draw certain characters fighting
