[Jyanino Channel 15/1]

Nino's making the JNC members study business terms today!

Yam: Don't wanna~!😫

Fuma and Maru confess that they sometimes pretend to understand it when people around them use business terms.

Nino says they gotta swallow their pride and learn some business terms today!

Yam: Argh~ I hate studying!

Maru: I'm definitely confident when it comes to technical stage terms!

Nino: Showbiz language, right?

Fuma: True.

#1: エビデンス (Evidence)

Yam: "Evidence", huh?
Cap: (Uh oh.)

Nino: It's used widely these days.

Maru: In politics and such.
Nino: It is.

Yam: Uh huh.

Cap: Self-Luminesce has stopped thinking

The guys try to make Yamada use "evidence" in a conversation.

Yam: Have you evidence'd lately?

Maru: That was quick! He said it immediately!
Fuma:🤣

T/N: This conversation is going nowhere but Fuma is loving every moment of it

Nino tells Fuma & Maru to explain "evidence" using a conversation.

Fuma: Are we having JCD this year?
Maru: Yeah. I heard about it.

Fuma: But have you gotten the evidence?
Maru: Yeah. The evidence is the agency!

Yam: "The evidence is the agency"?

Maru: If we translate it into Japanese, it's a word that's made of 2 kanji, right?

Fuma: I'm inclined to think so.

Yam: 2 k-kanji??? I thought it meant "meetings", since you said the "evidence is the agency".

#2: インセンティブ (incentive)

Yam: Aah, I've heard of this one before!

Nino: I've heard of it too!
Cap: Mr Accounting mysteriously does the two-step

Fuma asks for an example:
"On top of the basic salary, an *incentive* will be paid monthly depending on the business results"

Maru: Is it 4 characters in hiragana?
Yam: Or 4 characters in katakana?

Cap (Fuma): These guys are too funny...

Yam: Was I such a fool?

Fuma: The number of characters won't change from hiragana to katakana.😂

Maru thought that "incentive" referred to the yield while Yam thought it meant "bonus" or "rewards".

T/N: They're not too far off, given the context of the sentence!

#3: シュリンク (shrink)

Example: The Japanese automobile industry has *shrunk* by 10% in the past 10 years.

The guys attempt to use "shrink" in a conversation.

Fuma: How has your work been lately?
Maru: It's shrinking a lot.
Nino: So it's shrinking?

T/N: All this use of English words in business speech is reminding me of the 7 types of people that Nino hates.🤣

FYI, it doesn't mean that Nino hates English speakers, he just doesn't like the pretentious use of English when Japanese will suffice.

#5: バイアス (Bias)

Yam: Haven't we heard about this a lot? Like with gyaru and stuff...

Nino/Fuma/Maru: Gyaru?

Yam: Oh, I was thinking about "vibes".

Nino/Fuma/Maru:🤣

Cap: The Self-Luminesce is a terrible guy

Cap: You're the one who's biased against gyaru
