The countdown to the #NFLDraft is on!

Jan 15, 2023, 8 tweets

The last two years were winning seasons for the @MiamiDolphins, but neither resulted in a playoff berth. The potential was clear, though.

And in 2022 a bright new HC and a major acquisition made the difference. The Phins are in the postseason - here’s how they did it. 🧵

The Dolphins bolstered their offense big time last summer, making a blockbuster trade with KC for superstar WR @cheetah. The hope was that Hill and young QB @Tua would connect quickly, and Miami wasn’t disappointed with a 8-3 start to the season.

Hill immediately became one of Tua’s most vocal supporters, and his go-to guy. While he was already considered one of the best WRs, @cheetah broke both his career record and the Dolphins’ franchise record for receiving yards with 1,710 (2nd in NFL).

Oh, and just a general reminder - @cheetah literally can do it all.

🐆 is not the only offensive star in the 305. @D1__JW finished with 1,356 yards, averaging 18.1 yards/rec (most in NFL), and @RMos_8Ball led the Dolphins run game with 181 carries and 891 rush yards this season.

As they face the Bills for the third time this season, the Dolphins offense will be led by rookie QB Skylar Thompson, who showed lots of promise in the preseason.

The Dolphins had some truly fun and memorable moments on their road to the postseason, from the infamous “butt punt” to McDaniel talking smack to his own players during games. 😂 twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

The team chemistry is strong, and the @miamidolphins have some of the best receivers in the league. Can 🐆, 🐧 and their comrades carry the team to an extended playoff run?
