If equal justice under the law still applies, then President Biden should have a big problem on his hands.  Months ago, the FBI raided President Trump’s private residence over accusations of classified material.  When can we expect them to kick in Biden’s door in Delaware? 🧵

For the past several decades, the FBI & DOJ have prosecuted government employees, defense contractors, former national security advisers, and CIA officials over much less than the mishandling of classified material that President Biden admitted to. These are just a few examples…

1.)  April 2005 – Former U.S. National Sec. Adviser Sandy Berger plead guilty to knowingly removing classified documents from the National Archives and Records Admin. Berger was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine and give up his security clearance for three years.

2.)  March 2013 –Retired Lt. Colonel Benjamin Pierce Bishop was arrested in Hawaii and charged with one count of unlawfully retaining documents. He was sentenced to more than seven years in prison.

3.)  March 2015 – Retired U.S. Army General David Petraeus, a former CIA director, plead guilty to one count of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.  Petraeus was sentenced to two years of probation and a $100,000 fine.

4.)  July 2015 – U.S. Navy reservist Bryan Nishimura was sentenced to two years of probation and a $7,500 fine after he pleaded guilty to downloading and storing classified documents from his deployment to Afghanistan in 2007-2008 on his personal devices and media.

5.)  August 2016 – Former National Sec. Agency contractor Harold Martin was arrested for what federal prosecutors described as a theft of top-secret government information.  Martin pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine years in prison.

6.)  January 2017 – Former defense contractor Weldon Marshall was arrested for unlawfully retaining classified information, stored on compact discs and computer hard drives that he kept at his home. Marshall was sentenced to more than three years in prison.

7.)  January 2018 – Former CIA officer Jerry Chun Shing Lee, was arrested on charges of unlawful retention of national defense information. Lee plead guilty and was sentenced to 19 years in prison.

8.)  May 2018 – Former CIA contractor Reynaldo Regis pleaded guilty to charges of unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials.  Reyes was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

9.)   June 2020 — Asia Janay Lavarello, a DOD employee, was found with numerous classified documents, writings, and notes relating to the national defense or foreign relations.  She plead guilty and was sentenced in February 2022 to three months in prison and a $5,500 fine.

10.)         January 2023 — Joe Biden, President of the United States, admitted to being in possession of classified material improperly stored at an office in the Penn Biden Center and at his personal residence in Delaware.

Biden, who promised to have the most transparent administration in history, is refusing to work with the House Oversight Committee.  Charges TBD.
