🧵 1/23 - Welcome to #BLUEPRINT. This is a new type of political party and coalition movement, designed to give Socialists a safe and effective place to organise here in the UK for electoral success. This thread explains what we are, with links to our initial research project.
🧵 2/23 - The UK Labour Party is no longer an independent political party. It has been captured by external agencies, who oppose Socialist politics. Other 'left' parties face the same risk of capture, due to their committee-led structure.
🧵 3/23 - So far, the Socialist left has been abandoned to rot by the institutions we trusted, and the leaders we looked up to.
Instead of sitting back and waiting for a celeb to save us, it is time for Socialists to stand for election themselves, together as one bloc. ✊
🧵 4/23 - The left has consistently been fractured by IDpol, personal beefs, and divisions carefully cultivated by intelligence services. The result? Countless sects, dominated by small groups of people.
🤝 We must have a coalition that crosses divides, and invites solidarity.
🧵 5/23 - Every leftist party that has a small 'clique' in charge like a National Committee, will be targeted by a tried and tested 'takedown' technique deployed by our enemies. To stop this we have got rid of executive committees & gatekeeping... and their associated corruption.
🧵 6/23 - The left is great at moaning on social media, at rallies, and in writing. We've been poor at turning that angst into genuine political action - because social media companies & governments purposefully encouraged this. It's time to move on from simply 'ranting' online.
🧵 7/23 - "Organise first, and align policy later."
Our mantra is for members to decide policy, *after* we have successfully organised as a bloc. Working the other way around creates division first, without the organising systems in place to overcome that division.
🧵 8/23 - We are building our own social media app, with all of the organising functionality (and more) that you are used to with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. #BLUEPRINT members will own and operate it so that you are safe from harassment, abuse, doxxing and stalking.🛑
🧵 9/23 - In #BLUEPRINT, it is the members who create government policy with guidance and support from the "SMEx Facilitators", or "Subject Matter Experts". Their entire role is to support and educate members in creating high quality Socialist policies to win elections with.
🧵 10/23 - When members have created lots of great policy options to choose from, it is then up to our members to select and ratify those policies to be included in an electoral manifesto. This is achieved by a transparent & structured vote, using our digital democracy platform.
🧵 11/23 - Unlike the Labour Party, we encourage members to create and implement campaigns both locally and nationally. You'll be trained, supported and empowered to deliver the change you want to see for yourselves. Socialist activists will be at the cutting edge at all times.
🧵 12/23 - #BLUEPRINT provides a literal blueprint of how to implement proper checks and balances. All representatives, workers and volunteers (known as FACILITATORS) are subject to a written 'creed' that governs their behaviour and participation. Anti-corruption is built-in.
🧵 13/23 - Our 'headless' constitution will ensure that for a period of 25 years, our organisation cannot be repurposed. This repurposing happens regularly in politics - just look at the UK Labour Party. Our ironclad constitution will protect us from this vicious corruption.
🧵 14/23 - No longer will electoral candidates be imposed upon constituencies or for key internal roles. #BLUEPRINT will implement a new standard of democracy - where the grassroots members are sovereign, and always choose who serves them as representative Facilitators.
🧵 15/23 - All electoral candidates will be Facilitators and as such will be controlled by the 'Facilitators Creed'. In short, if they breach the terms of this contract with the members whom they serve, they can be removed from their #BLUEPRINT role. They are servants, not lords.
🧵 16/23 - Every #BLUEPRINT member is a leader, activist, policy author, representative and servant. We've removed hierarchies, and implemented an inverted responsibility flow - with the 'Facilitator General', being the servant of all & master of none. Members rule. ✋
🧵 17/23 - With ten years of analysis on intelligence agency and agent provocateur tactics, #BLUEPRINT has been designed specifically to minimise their impact, and turn the tables. Democracy and spies do not go together - something our counter-intelligence team will safeguard.
🧵 18/23 - Instead of creating another talking shop dominated by middle-class wafflers, #BLUEPRINT is designed to enable you to take action, wherever you are, whenever you want to, and if constitutionally cleared - with the movements blessing. Less talk, more action please. 😁
🧵 19/23 - Inside #BLUEPRINT, we are implementing a 'debate framework' that works against cancel culture, virtue signalling and narcissistic tendencies.
Popularity does not translate to Righteousness!
Through structured dialogue, we can finally begin trusting each other.
🧵 20/23 - As you can imagine, this is not a small project, and it's not going to be easy. BUT... we'd like to officially open our doors to subscribing members and partnerships mid-2023.
Who knows... Maybe we could contest the 2024 elections to represent Socialism properly?
🧵 21/23 - Membership of #BLUEPRINT will be really simple - a £5 per month subscription via the Web / Android / iPhone app, an ID check, and agreeing to the Constitution / T's & C's, means you are considered a member. This will evolve over time as specific needs are identified.
