Today’s Scarlet Witch included a story that changed the game when it comes to Storm and her relationship to Magic & Wanda Maximoff! This thread shows why I think Ororo’s long suspected, now officially displayed, magical potential is directly tied to her Divinity ⚡️🔮#Xspoilers

It’s surreal that Storm, after being recently confirmed as a Wakandan Goddess AND an Omega Mutant AND The Voice of Sol… is also now a confirmed Sorceress! Not ONLY that but a sorceress from a direct line to the FIRST human being to ever be Sorcerer Supreme, Ayesha of Balobedu.

I believe Scarlet Witch issue #2’s display of Ororo calling on her ancestral magical ties has the same source of her divinity as The Hadari Yao for a few reasons: 1) Ororo is a descendant of Ashake, an Egyptian Priestess. She was a Witch-Priestess of the Elder Goddess Oshtur.

2) Oshtur, the Elder Goddess otherwise known as the “Bright Lady”, is the Sky Goddess Ororo has called out/prayed to her entire life. Her most famous exclamation “By The Goddess” is a direct reference to her.

3) Oshtur is the mother of Agamatto, the First Sorcerer Supreme. Who chose Ayesha as his first human successor after she defeated all other mystical champions (ironically an ancestor of Ororo’s with a penchant for winning fights against all odds is most fitting)

4) To protect the Wakanda, Ororo defeated The Adversary, a powerful mystical threat. This was the second time they fought and she was able to defeat him alone this time because she unlocked her Godhead, a divine gift passed down from her ancestors, bestowed upon them Oshtur.

Another note I learned from reading the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe is that Agamatto once summoned the “Avatars” of the Elder Gods to Atlantis for “The Assembly of Avatars” including the human avatars for Cthon, Gaea, Oshtur, and Set.

If Wanda’s the current “Avatar” of Cthon(through experience now embodying his full power under her own will), one could infer that Ororo has the potential to be the “Avatar” of Oshtur. Which may just be the Wakandan interpretation of The Hadari Yao their Goddess, Walker of Clouds

Oshtur is known as the Bright Lady, The Lady of Light, Lady of the Clouds, her element is AIR, she is the goddess that upholds truth, justice, BALANCE and ORDER. Hadari Yao is the goddess who preserves the BALANCE of all natural things. Juxtaposed to Cthon affinity for CHAOS.

Stephanie showed Ororo’s magic im it’s electric-blue splendor, literally blending with Wanda’s own red magic energies. As Oshtur and Cthon are two sides of a coin, Ororo could have the potential to be a mystic flip-side of the coin to Wanda, hence their natural magical union.

This would also explain why in Marvel Tarot, of all the magic users in the MU, Storm as well as Wanda and Agatha Harkness were listed as the Magical High Priestesses of this dimension.

All of this connective exposition while tying it back to Ororo’s previously established history, familial lore, and past divine/magical showings are reasons I’ll be forever grateful to Stephanie for her beautiful work today in this issue!!! @Steph_I_Will

Storm and Scarlet Witch have long been two of the most fascinating and bad ass characters for Marvel and seeing their unexpected connection explored today was such a treat. What a great time to be a fan of both of them! ⚡️✨🔮

Take note @Marvel because this would be a hell of a mini-series idea to explore and I know those books would absolutely fly off the shelves!!!
