In past few days we’ve had both:

- Pulitzer winning journalist @SeymourHersh claim in detail that Biden offensively sabotaged Nordstream pipelines

- former 🇮🇱 PM admit that the west, early in the conflict, vetoed a viable path to truce which would’ve saved much ☠️ & destruction

Both @POTUS and Victoria Nuland (who has been about as deep as it gets in terms of using Ukraine as a US proxy since even before the Maidan in 2013) pretty explicitly say the quiet part out loud leading up to the attack.

As does most of the security state

"At least 17 drafts of the agreement between Russia and Ukraine were prepared by the parties before the West interrupted their negotiations" — former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett

Putin is a dictator. War is always and everywhere a tragedy.

But it’s puerile to view complex situations as simply black and white; to ignore the role our own side plays in perpetuating and promoting human suffering as long as it achieves a broader geopolitical objective.

A broader geopolitical objective that benefits the politically connected & rent-seeking classes.

Meanwhile tent cities, mental health epidemics & an affordability crisis take root in nearly every state.

The rich have never been richer while 🇺🇸 life expectancy is now in decline.
